I am a great grandmother and ever since I was a child, it has fascinated me that a length of wool can be made into a garment. Knitted slippers are iconic in my family and I have sent them to grandchildren in Ireland, England, Australia and of course New Zealand. Its not only grandchildren, my own children think they are 'funky and cool'. Originally I knitted TV Slippers, (some of the grandchildren call them 'skatey slippers") and they have evolved to Slouchy Slippers.
