Orange is of the Citrus genus, native to China but is widely grown around the world which includes fruits like lemon, lime, grapefruits, tangerine, etc. These are the most common of the Citrus species and orange is basically one of them.

Before we jump to the benefits of orange, let's learn more about this magnificent fruit. The Orange can the classified into different types but the most common are the Sweet Orange and the Bitter Orange. You'd be surprised that orange contains calories, fiber, protein, calcium, carbs, potassium, folate, thiamine and excellently high in vitamin c. The greater nutrient in Orange is the Vitamin C which plays a great role in boosting the immune system. We have Vitamin C in the pharmacies today in form of chewable tablets, capsules and effervescent tablets.

The record of orange allergies are rare but as good as they are, it is not advisable to eat oranges in large quantities at once because orange contains citric acid which is found in all citrus fruits. Anyone suffering from a heart burn could worsen it with eating too many oranges, all at once.
