Beginning Barefoot is the place to be for new barefoot runners, and those who want to transition to barefoot/minimalist running safely and easily.
Twitter: @BarefootDawsy This site is for anyone interested in trying out barefoot running in a safe, (mostly) painless way in order to prevent injuries, enjoy running and get stronger, healthier feet. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned marathoner or have never so much as jogged around the block, we’re glad to have you and hope you find this site useful. I haven’t been running all my life or ru
n back-to-back ultramarathons. I’m relatively new to running, but I’m a huge nerd and spend most of my non-running free time reading and thinking about running. I like to think that my recent uptake of running puts me in a strong position to understand the needs of new runners. A lot of running sites out there are writtien by professional runners and coaches, and though they have a lot to offer, the new runner can sometimes feel a bit overwhealmed. Beginning Barefoot aims to be the place for new runners to go to get their feet wet and learn to enjoy running, before worrying about all that advanced stuff!
