Handmade Williamsburg Artists Oil Paint.

Williamsburg Oil Paint 37ml Tubes. Williamsburg Oil colours are incredibly pigment rich, with a dense yet buttery texture. Each colour has its own finish and feel; creating not only a palette of colour, but also texture. Originating from the Williamsburg neighbourhood of Brooklyn, Williamsburg Handmade Oil Paint produces a range of more than 170 artist quality oil colours in New Berlin, NY. Each colour is milled in small batches, with pigments ground in pure, premium, alkali-refined linseed oil, to bring out the best qualities of the pigment used.

Also included in the Williamsburg range is a selection of interference and iridescent colours. The interference colours are a special type of iridescent known for their ability to shift from one shimmering colour to another as the surface is turned toward and away from a light source. The interference colours shift from a dominant colour, as it is named on the tube, to a lighter compliment.

Pigments - Genuine Veronese Green, which is a copper arsenate, is quite toxic. Sennelier Veronese is an alternative with a bright, luminous hue that reproduces the original with modern pigments-mononitrogenous “azo”, Phthalocyanine, and extenders. Luminous, good covering power, low tinting strength. Very lightfast. Suitable in all binders, except fresco. Phthalocyanine Green Synthetic organic pigment. Its characteristics are identical to those of Phthalocyanine Blue, but in a brilliant rich green hue.
