An excerpt from Stephanie E. Jones-Rogers book “They Were Her Property”
In this great work, Jones-Rogers shows that despite many of us having the erroneous idea of white women being mere victims of white male systemic aggression and patriarchy, they were in fact equal partners in the quest for colonialism and white power.
Many white women throughout the Americas, and in particular the USA, were treated as equal under the law when property owners. And their property was enslaved African human beings.
Not only were so many willing collaborators, they were often the architects of racist patriarchal violence, the effects of which are still commonplace today.

When most people think of ancient African history, they usually think of Kemet (aka Ancient Egypt). Often this becomes the sole focus of study, neglecting the rest of the continent’s long, ancient past.
However, all of the continent deserves attention and study. Ancient African history is vast!

Genocide is the West’s defining trait. Replacement and subjugation are the two policies that have created their global order.
Understanding the logic of the West is key to realising there is no pleading, no negotiation out of the goodness of governmental hearts, no intervention on behalf of the indigenous.
Power only respects an equal and opposite power. And taking power by any means necessary will be the only way to win.

Down with imperialism in all its forms!
Rest in power to one of our greatest, Thomas Sankara, who was assassinated 36 years ago yesterday.
Decades later we are still fighting the same evil forces all over the globe. We have no choice but to win.

Black history within the British Empire.
This is an excerpt from our book The Black Past.
Tacky’s rebellion was probably the most famous uprising in Jamaica’s history.
The Black Radical Tradition was in full force during 1760 on the island. Contrary to popular myth, Africans have militarily resisted their oppression continuously for centuries.
Studying armed resistance to colonialism is particularly relevant right now, considering the destruction occurring in Palestine at the hands of the Euro-American strategic protectorate otherwise known as Israel.

Black history within the British Empire.

The Mau Mau warriors are one of many examples that are left out of “Black British history” discussions, often because we do not see Britain as a the empire it once was.
These courageous warriors deserve study and celebration for their achievements in weakening Britain’s colonial stranglehold on Kenya.
We also need to open up our own “breeding grounds for rebellion” today.
