The Jackson Zoo turned away hundreds of visitors this summer. Here’s why city officials say that happened. Zoo has been managed by the city since late 2019.

We're excited about this! Jayne Ave Neighborhood Association is recruiting volunteers to help clean up the sidewalks leading to Reed's Park. The Park is located behind Provine High School and just a few blocks from.Pecan Park Elementary. Our students and neighbors deserve clean, safe sidewalks to access the park and their schools. Let's join them on Saturday, Aug 17.

The JZKeepers AAZK Chapter is raising money to get the 11 resident Flamingos and 2 Nene geese a NEW barn. We have everything set, we just need your help to raise the money for it!

The American Association of Zoo Keepers is proud to offer the second annual Sponsored Student Diversity Memberships. We recognize that participation in professional organizations to be a potential barrier to accessing career resources. Awardees will receive all the benefits of a student membership of AAZK including opportunities to apply for grant funding, member rates for conference attendance, and subscription to the Animal Keeper’s Forum journal. This opportunity is open to high school, secondary, college and post-graduate students.
