Authentically Me

I remember grandparents and older generations always saying “Time goes by so fast, it seems like I was your age just yesterday!” and “Follow your dreams before it’s too late.” Now it’s me giving the advice… But it is so true. The days are flying by faster than they ever have as time on the planet has accelerated. There is a global Spiritual Awakening happening as humanity is disconnecting from one another and from reality. I’m personally not on social media & news outlets very often because so much is fabricated, just false. It creates unrealistic expectations of what life “should” look like. This results in feelings of inadequacy, especially in our youth, but all generations are affected by feeling like they don’t measure up. We are all energetically connected to each other and to nature and at a deep level, our unconsciousness knows this. As a kid growing up my family always sat at our dining table together for meals. This was my favorite time with my family. The conversations were always so fun. We’d learn about each other’s lives and hear stories about my parents childhoods. WE CONNECTED, and we all enjoyed that time very much. Don’t get me wrong, we were dysfunctional as any family is, but we knew what was going on in each other’s lives. I see families while out at restaurants and every single person is staring into their phone. It’s sad. They think they have enough time to do all the things they planned to do and then, before they realize it, the years have passed and it’s too late to connect and nurture REAL relationships with family and friends because they moved away, acquired dementia or they’ve passed away. SHOCKER: we are NOT promised tomorrow at any age! Don’t be that person. Put your phone, tablet, & laptop down and ask your parents, grandparents, & friends about themselves and their lives….. and really listen. They have great stories and wisdom that will surprise you. Human connection is lacking and getting worse, but we were created for it. You will never feel complete without it. And if you think you have time to “get around to it later”, you don’t. Also, take some time without electronics to connect with nature and to get to know yourself❤️

It’s taken me many life lessons and experiences to realize this truth. In this age of social media there is a certain pressure to stay “on trend” and “current”, but what does that offer to your personal peace of mind? So much content on these platforms is fabricated for follows. It is IMPOSSIBLE to keep up with what other’s expectations are. In this world of AI, scripted “reality” TV, and FAKE influencers doing anything to get views, likes and follows, so many people are struggling to find meaning. Depression, anxiety and loneliness are so very common. We aren’t on this planet to be like everyone else. We’re humans, we are unique, not programmed robots. Nobody else on the entire planet has the same fingerprints you have! You are an individual, uniquely YOU. The world needs you as your true authentic self. Take the time to discover the real you, and then be the best version of yourself. That is where your peace is! Joy comes when you don’t care about being like everyone else (there are more than enough “everybody else’s”). You are amazing. Stand in honor and integrity of your authenticity and allow yourself the world to enjoy the gift of YOU🩷

We are emotional creatures for sure! I find that life dishes out difficulties to help us become stronger. We can’t always appreciate the good without enduring the bad. Seems just wrong, I know! Learning and growing is painful, but YOU ARE STRONGER THAN YOU REALIZE. Don’t give up because, just when you can’t take anymore, take a pause and think of ONE thing you are grateful for and cling to that, because change will come. Guaranteed! This truth I know, life is always changing!! The sun is still there beneath those clouds… hang on 💖
