31G Superstock

Bit of mixed bag for me at teams champs this year. In the first race against Kihikihi on Friday I received a head knock and decided to play it safe and give our 6th driver Tim Ross a play in our car. And boy did he do good! I'm really pleased with the way Tim drove and its exciting to see the level of young talent coming through the Gizzy ranks at the moment!

The boys did a great job over the weekend, it was awesome to beat the Panthers in the semi-final. Unfortunately with injuries to Jamie and Nick we were only able to field 3 cars in the final, but that's how racing goes, I wish you both a speedy recovery with your injuries. It was always gonna be a tough ask for Pete, Tim and Ethan but second is still a great achievement! Congrats to the Hawkeyes on taking yet another win and the Panthers for placing 3rd.

I would also like to thank all the crew that managed to get the cars race ready for all the races, we managed to destroy some gear over the weekend but the cars were always worked on to ensure they made it out the gate.

Qualification done✅
We've made it through to the big dance at the NZ champs in Whanganui for tonight. Time for a spanner over and car check up to make sure its 100%. Good luck to all other qualifiers, but especially to our fellow G brothers Ethan Rees 127G and Jamie Hamilton 9G.

Teams Nationals done and dusted, awesome weekend. A hard Semi against the hawkeyes which we won put us into the final with the Palmerston North Panthers, which is always a hard fought battle with lots of damage on both sides. We managed to come out on top and make it a Teams Nationals 3 peat. That's us for teams racing this year. Massive effort by our drivers, crew and everyone else behind the scenes! That’s a wrap for the Giants got 2018/19 season it’s been a blast!

Qualification Done✔ We've managed to qualify for the main show after two hard fought races against the Wildcats and the Mustangs. Time for a good check of the car before tonight's racing. Let's see if we can climb one step higher up the podium this year!

We're all ready for battle here at woodford glen for night 2 of the NZ champs, unfortunately we haven't qualified for the main show but we'll try our luck in the repecharge and see what happens. All set at Woodford Glen teams race 1st up

We are so stoked with how this has come out, a huge thanks must go out to Carl from signfusion for doing another stunning job.

We've made some great progress on the car over the last of weeks, cheers to the crew from Rees race cars plus Craig and Beissel for the work on the car. All going well the car should be off to Sign fusion to get stickered up this week. We would also like to welcome aboard a new sponsor McVerry Crawford Motors Tom and his team have been great supporters of the Gisborne Giants for the past few years and we are excited to have them on board.
