All About Small Shops
Sharing our favorite small and handmade shops
DM me the words “FREE TRIAL” so you can get inside The Small Shop Club to learn, grow, and be supported.
Let’s chat about what it means to be ‘tailored’ to you.
What do you need to learn to propel your business forward?
➡️Maybe you want to get into selling your products wholesale. You let us know inside The Small Shop Club and I’ll bring on wholesale experts to teach you how.
➡️Maybe you want to learn how to sell more on IG. I’ll bring on experts to teach about converting followers to customers as well as give some tips and tricks in our weekly chats.
🔥 Spoiler alert! I’m already working providing experts for these two topics!
➡️Maybe you need more support with accomplishing your goals. This will already be part of our weekly chats, but if you need more, I’ll assign an accountability partner for you. (This is such a secret weapon and honestly the only way I seem to really reach some of my goals. 🙌🏼).
No matter what you need help in with running/growing your shop, my goal is to help you get there with bite sized info that doesn’t take much time. And in fact, will save you time!
Because The Small Shop Club is a place to alleviate your stress…not add to it! ♥️
Getting caught up in what others are doing usually comes from feeling like you don’t know what you’re doing and desperately trying to make something work.
The problem is you throw a bunch of random stuff out there (whether that be the products you make, your content strategy, or really anything else) to see what sticks. But actually what happens is you end up feeling even more lost. 😭
Then, you end up stressed and overwhelmed. Which leads you to….
BURNOUT CITY! 😱😱
Nobody likes burnout city. 🙅🏻♀️
But there’s the thing…THERE IS HOPE! 🥳 Swipe to see how you can avoid this. Or if you’re already there, don’t worry, it’s never too late to turn it around.
Want to learn more? Join us on 9/20/22 at 2pm EST for a free live workshop. Link in bio! 🤗

If you haven’t seen my stories yet, I’m doing a Feature Friday for small shops that I’ll be doing weekly. I’m thinking of doing a post in my feed as well, like a Follow Friday where small shops can comment with your shop name and what products you offer or services you provide. This will give everyone a chance to support one another and find shops you may want to collaborate with.
✨✨Let me know below if you like that idea✨✨
Sometimes things get overwhelming and the hard things feel even harder. And you wonder how you’re going to make it through the day in one piece.
Maybe you feel behind on your business and IG keeps getting harder to keep up with. Maybe it’s almost 5:30pm and you still have to make dinner and everyone’s hangry. Or maybe you can’t seem to perfect that new product you’ve been working on.
Whatever it is, know that you can do it. You’ve done hard things before and you can do it again.
And remember things always seem impossible until you do them (see the second photo). If you need a reminder, just look back at the hard things you’ve already done. There’s probably thousands of them.
I’m here cheering you on! Go to the link in my bio to join the Small Shop Club membership waitlist so I can cheer you on even more and support you through your business journey. ♥️
You’re doing your best. And that’s enough. There are some days that are super slow and hard and others where we knock it out of the park. It all balances out.

Can’t you just picture sitting outside on the grass maybe in a lush forest with the sun peeking through the leaves of trees and sipping some coffee or tea out of this beautiful mug? My daydream also consists of doing this at the beach with the waves of the ocean as my background noise. 🧘🏻♀️

I’m following this tee to a T this weekend. See what I did there. 🙃 And I hope you do as well.
We need time away from our businesses.
We need time to relax our bodies.
We need time to quiet our minds.
We need time to enjoy our kids, summertime, and being alive.
We need to step barefoot in grass (although don’t get stung by a bee like I did today), to watch the leaves blow in the wind, to feel the sun on our skin, and to let our minds be free.
To be present means to observe and be aware of the moment you’re in. And only focusing on one thing at a time. Give your multitasking brain a break.
Now let’s talk about because before we head into the weekend, you may want to add them to your list if your a shop who looks for fun and beautiful artwork for t-shirt and fabric sublimation. You can order on their website, Etsy, and Spoonflower. They also offers extended licensing you can purchase to meet your needs. Swipe to see all the beautiful designs.
If you’re ever in need of beautiful fabric for your shop, make sure to check out
They are based in the Pacific Northwest, are a small mom-run shop, and are very eco-friendly with their packaging made out of paper (plastic-free), tying their fabric with fabric scraps to prevent waste, and then using organic cotton that is grown and spun into yarn and fabrics milled all within the USA which reduces their carbon footprint.
Their fabrics are high quality, custom dyed in neutral colors that won’t fade. They carry knit, woven, and swim fabrics such as medium and lightweight European laundered linen, organic cotton gauze, French terry, ribbed swim, and more.
Where do you buy fabric from?
Rest and reset
This is so needed for all of us, but especially business owners where you tend to hit it hard and never stop going. There’s always something that needs to be done. Amiright?! But if we don’t listen to our bodies and what we are really needing both mentally and physically, burnout is inevitable. It happens quicker than we think. And while burnout isn’t the end all, it certainly can knock us down for days, weeks, or heck even months. It hinders our production, creativity, and almost every aspect of our lives (extra fights with our spouse and kids 🙈). So this is your reminder to take care and force yourselves those breaks.
Sometimes that looks like taking the weekend off to have fun family time or just take it slow around the house letting go of the to-do list and sometimes it looks like a social media break for a few days. Whatever it is, allow yourself the space and time to do it (or not do something!). Don’t make self-care stressful or obligatory (because this can happen too). Do it when it feels right.
Recommendation: Take a few minutes each day preferably at the same time each day to check in with yourself. Simply ask how am I feeling or how have I been feeling. Talk out loud to yourself, write it down, or just contemplate. Take the time you need to really be present and really listen. The answers will come. Maybe not right away but they will. And then it’s up to you to follow that. Of all the things you have to do in any given day, this should be the most important.
Do you check in with yourself?
Just wanted to post something bright and happy for you to see as you scroll today.

For those of us in America, what are y’all doing this weekend? We are choosing to rest - as much as parents can 🤪 (I have a one and five yr old that don’t stop moving all day long) and spend time outside. I’m sure ice cream will be involved at some point and maybe an impromptu cookout.
I’m dying over these hand crocheted and embroidered knitwear! They make unique and one of a kind pieces. All made by this lovely mother-daughter duo.

⭐️Let’s end the week on a high note! Tell me in the comments something good that happened to you this week or even something you’re grateful/thankful for.⭐️
I’ll start: Getting amazing support and feedback from shops in regards to my app that will help shops find/match with others to collaborate. And something I’m grateful for is taking time to sit outside on the grass with my kids listening to the birds.
Gratitude lists are more than just appreciating your life. It’s also about rewriting your brain to look for the good. It doesn’t mean you discount or dismiss the bad. It just means that instead of focusing so much on what’s not going right or working out, you focus on what’s going well and use that as a way to propel you forward and build upon each one. Suddenly things seem to be magically going your way and opportunities are coming to you. Manifesting isn’t about magic though, it’s about becoming aware of what you want.
Happy Friday, friends!!

A reminder to do something that makes you happy this weekend!
Every purchase from this shop empowers and helps over 130 artisans in Kenya. Jenny Nuccio is the founder before starting her company she traveled nearby Kenya to help fund education projects for kids. She got to know the families and discovered that the children who struggled the most came from single income families where the women didn’t have many job opportunities. Jenny fell in love with the community and decided to move there to learn and invest in the community. What started out as 16 women partnering and working with Jenny as she taught them to sew, became 130+ artisans part of this beautiful business community.
They’re having a 50% sale on select items. Use code: springclean. The sale ends tomorrow (5/15).

I’m posting a fun reel tomorrow morning I think every biz mom can relate to (or any mom for that matter). I hope you enjoy it. 😊
To say that Tori (owner of this beautiful shop) has one of the most inspiring stories is pretty accurate. I’ve been following her shop for a while and I’m always so in awe and captivated by her success, struggles, realness, openness and her ability to not only design and make her beautiful products but also never giving up on her dreams.
Here’s a snippet of her story: She opened her shop in 2018 hand making baby booties. Then I’m 2019 she decided to take her dream to the next level and spent a year designing rain boots which meant investing everything they had including selling one of their vehicles to pay for the boots to be manufactured. She purchased 2,000 pairs which arrived two weeks later. She made back her initial investment within two weeks. And now she is reaching financial goals she never dreamed of. With her success she felt called to give back by continually donating a percentage of their profits to a local organization that helps s*x trafficking victims.
Her journey was far from easy and there have been lots of bumps along the way. She dropped out of high school at 17 when she was pregnant but through faith, courage, and never giving up she became empowered to pull her family out of poverty to pursue her dream. She shares often about her struggles and you can watch some of her stories in her Headquarters highlight where they’ve had to relocate a few times due to circumstances beyond her control.
They have a special Mother’s Day sale happening on the Pine Boots starting 5/6 to 5/8. BOGO - Buy one get one 50% off. 🎉

✨Shop Feature: Bella Baby & Co✨
The sweetest handmade bows that actually stay on your little one’s head.
Owner Story: Charlotte moved to the USA from England at the age of 17 on a swimming scholarship. She even made appearances at the Olympics Trials and NCAAs. She then moved to LA and worked in marketing and automation for some of the top start-ups, but then the pandemic hit and like many of us, it caused her to rethink her career path. Two months after giving birth to her second child, Bella, she launched Bella Baby & Co. She did this in just 7 days (wow!). Charlotte has been featured as one of LA’s top entrepreneurs, as well as gestures in USA Today, US Weekly, and E! News. Her bows have even been seen on many celebrities children.
➡️Charlottes advice to other shop owners is to “be consistent so your customers know what to expect and when. And to never give up!”
This is certainly an inspirational story and a reminder that if you’ve been thinking of opening up that shop or pushing your shop forward, now is the time! Just go for it. You won’t know until you try.

𝐐𝐮𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲:
“Just for today, I am ease and grace” - as part of her book Burning Bright. I love how she describes making this a daily habit even if there were days she didn’t feel that way. She just kept repeating it everyday until one day a couple years later after reciting those words, she smiled and realized everything in her life actually did feel easy and graceful. She also describes that by saying the words daily, setting the intention, and being consistent was how she made this transformation. I really love that and am now using this in my own life. It even helps when I wake up full of anxiety for usually no reason at all or for reasons I make up in my head. So I encourage you to try this as well and check out Kelsey’s amazing book.
Just for today, what will you be?
✨BASICS for baby and adults✨ You know I’m a big fan of basics and loungewear and here is another amazing shop that offers this style. Made and manufactured in California by small businesses. They use all GOTS certified organic cotton, use low impact dyes, and have 100% recycled packaging.
The Founders are a mother/daughter duo and I just love their story. Elkin started a baby clothing shop while pregnant with her daughter, Jenny, and 25 years later they opened a shop together. Their mission is to create something even bigger than clothes by cultivating a strong, inclusive community.
One of my favorite things about them (besides all of it that is!) is they offer an option to send back your gently used clothing you purchased from them and they’ll hand deliver each piece to a child in need. How amazing and great is that!
Go to to shop! Swipe to the end to see a picture of Elkin and Jenny. I love how they recreated it. ♥️
✨Release TONIGHT 6/4✨ at 9pm EST. These beautiful felt flowers and so many bows will be available. Swipe to see more!

Happy Friday! Do you compare yourself to others? If you’re a human, then the answer is most likely a resounding YES. And in this space of social media where everyone sees everything everyone else does (or should I say their highlight reel that is), comparison is even more of an issue for us. It’s thrown in our faces everyday way more than in our non-digital lives. But we can combat this and work to be aware when we have these feelings and why. I’ll be posting a reel soon about comparison and a way to help you make it count. Yes, there is a way to do it in a more healthy manner that keeps your mental health sane.
If I go a little quiet this weekend, it’s because I’m working harder than ever (have I already said that before? 🤣) on the membership site and have so much juicy content already lined up. My goal is to keep it super simple for y’all but super valuable. Sounds like a win/win right? 🤗
✨Handmade and Vintage Clothing✨ I have an older brother and I’d like to say we looked this cool when we were their ages, but it’s just not true. 🤣 If only we had small shops like this back in the day. Heck, we didn’t even have a target then. Now I really feel old!

And remember on this fine Thursday to “do your best and forget the rest”. I know it can be so hard to let go of things but it’s absolutely necessary for your sanity and quality of life. You deserve to treat yourself better! ♥️
✨Summer is almost here✨ Time to bust out all the cute swimwear. If only it would get warm enough here. It’s been unseasonably cold here in PA lately, but next week it’ll be in the 90s ☀️😎.

Keren is the owner and was inspired to start this shop by her two little girls and her European roots. They focus on “ethical small batch manufacturing, sustainable fabrics that are high quality, OEKO-TEX certified, and offer UPF 50+ protection”.

✨Who has kids obsessed with dinosaurs 🦖?✨ My girl is actually quite scared of them. At 4 yrs old she won’t even watch Barney. 😆 But I don’t think she’d be afraid of these adorable Dino relaxed sweater and jogger set. Comes in sizes: 0-3M to 6Y.
Go to to shop! They are based in Melbourne, Australia. I love how they describe themselves as a “fun kids clothing brand” and that their vision is “buy less, wear more and pass on”.
Quote of the Day:
“Fear is your attention focused on the unwanted predicted future that you believe is going to happen” - So much truth in this quote. When I’m riddled with anxiety, it’s oftentimes because I’m worrying about a future I think is going to happen or maybe something that I won’t be able to make happen. It’s another reminder to bring ourselves back to the present. It’s like a quick reset.
✨Release Tomorrow 5/28 at 9pm EST✨ These pullovers in sizes 6M to Adult XL. So perfect for those cool summer nights trying catching fireflies. Swipe to see more of the pieces they carry.

Do you go camping? This pullover made me realize it’s probably been over two decades since I’ve gone camping. I can’t believe it’s been that long. I love spending time in nature and recently have been feeling called to it (probably because we live on a super busy road 🤪). Definitely need more of it in my life and camping would be perfect. Any tips and tricks for camping with little ones would be much appreciated! 🏕
✨Cut-Off Shorts Release 6/2 at 4:30pm PST✨

They believe that minimal is magical and are “devoted to minimalist, high-comfort play clothes that allow space for their journey of self-discovery to evolve organically and authentically.” Swipe to see more. I just love how the colors seem to represent nature.
They also started a book club which I think is so fun! For the month of May they read Gentle Discipline (all about “using emotional connection -not punishment- to raise confident, capable kids”) and chatted with the author. They’ll be doing a new book for June. Check out their Book Club highlight for more info on how to join.

Happy Monday! Here’s a quote for today:
“Nothing worth doing is easy”
I’ve heard this many times and I like to remind myself of this when things become tough and challenging. It’s not that I’m not capable or good enough. It’s just not supposed to be easy and that’s okay. It helps me get through those times of frustration with more ease. Just keep repeating it.
The above quote is based on a quote by Theodore Roosevelt
“Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty… I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life. I have envied a great many people who led difficult lives and led them well.”
