P-Town Next Ballers Academy

The P*Town Next Ballers Academy is pleased to announce that tryouts for the competitive youth basketball teams will be held on May 10th and 17th. All interested players from 2nd grade to high school should attend the tryouts at the specified times:

- For 2nd-6th Grade: 7:15-8:15 pm
- For 7th Grade-HS: 8:15-9:15 pm

The P*Town Next Ballers Academy is dedicated to fostering a love for basketball and honing the skills of our young athletes. By participating in local tournaments, players have the opportunity to showcase their abilities and grow as athletes. Depending on the number of participants and their skill levels, tryouts may lead to placement on a competitive or recreational team, or referral to a practice-only program. Teams may be composed of players from various grade levels. All competitive teams formed will have the chance to compete in local tournaments, providing a platform for players to further develop their skills.

During the Summer Season, the teams will play twelve games. Two games will be played on two monthly Saturdays at a local tournament venue from June 15 to August 24.

Players are encouraged to attend both nights of tryouts, but it is not mandatory. Please communicate that to us if you can only make it to one night.

The P*Town Next Ballers program is excited to announce that tryouts for the competitive youth basketball teams will be Feb 9th and 16th at Pleasanton Middle School.
All interested 2nd Grade - High School should plan on attending at the following times:
2nd-4th Grade: 5:30-6:30pm
5th-7th Grade: 6:30-7:30pm
8th Grade-HS: 7:30-8:30pm
The program's goal is to have as many kids as possible competing in leagues, giving them the best chance of growing as basketball players. Based on the number of kids and their skill level, tryouts may result in kids being placed on a competitive or recreational team or referred to a practice-only program. Players from different grade levels may also be combined to form teams. Any competitive teams formed will again compete in the MVP League this Spring in Walnut Creek, our area's premier youth basketball league. Each team competing in this league will play approximately 8-10 league games against teams from all over the Bay Area. Practice for all teams is anticipated to start the week of Feb 26th - May 19th and will typically be twice a week, with games on the weekends starting in March.

Dear P*Town Family,
I am excited to announce that our 5th Grade, 6th Grade, and HS teams have won the Fall League Championship!
They played incredibly well today and should be proud of their accomplishments!
It is worth noting that the HS team has won 5 consecutive seasons!

I would also like to congratulate our 4th Grade, Both 7th Grade teams, 8th Grade and 9th Grade teams for making the playoffs.

Seeing so many P*Town families come out to show their support during the weekend was fantastic. I am proud of all our players, coaches, and families for their dedication and hard work.

I plan to put together a COMPETITIVE Winter program during November through February.

Practices will be on Fridays and playing 8 Saturday tournaments during the course of the season.

Please let me know if you would like to participate.

If you plan to take some time away, our Spring Season will start in March.

I am excited to announce that our 7th Grade boys and HS boys teams have won the Spring League Championship!

They played incredibly well today and should be proud of their accomplishments!

It is worth noting that the 7th Grade team finished last in the past Fall Season and is now the current champion!

Additionally, our HS Boys are back-to-back champions! I would also like to congratulate our 5th Grade, 8th Grade, and HS Girls teams for placing 2nd.

The 5th Grade team finished last in the past Fall Season but has improved and placed 2nd. The 8th Grade team finished 2nd in the past Fall Season and maintained their 2nd place position.

The HS Girls qualified for the playoffs in the past Fall Season and reached 2nd place in this season.
It was fantastic seeing so many P*Town families come out to show their support during the weekend. I am proud of all our players, coaches, and families for their dedication and hard work.

They played a tough game today. Our boys did really well focusing and not bothered by all the distractions during the game. A great learning experience is what we can take from it.
