Update: ALL THE EGGS HAVE BEEN LOCATED

The Snyder Police Association is needing the communities help in locating five missing eggs. The suspect left clues behind for us to find them, but we haven’t had any luck. We’re now calling on help from the kids in our community. Once located, please bring the egg to the police department to claim your reward for your help.

Please limit the eggs to one per kid. Good luck and we can’t wait to see y’all!

Did you know that the Snyder Police Association loves to take care of our community? That’s what we’re all about! We’re doing our part to TAKE-BACK Sparkle City! Today our members and thier families helped by cleaning our adopted section of US HWY 180 through TXDoTs Adopt-A-Highway program. We estimate that over 800 pounds of trash was removed from the roadway today! One things for sure, our city is a cleaner place today because of these amazing people!

The Snyder Police Association is excited to announce that one of Officer Safety Projects has finally came to fruition. Members of the Association along with administrators from the police department were present today to take delivery of 25 Ballistic Helmets from Hard Head Veterans. Funding for this project was provided by Epic Warrior Foundation and its contributors. Our Association is extremely grateful for our partnership with Epic Warrior Foundation and for the contributions from citizens of Snyder who have donated funds not only to Epic Warrior but also to our association. The Ballistic Helmets are one of several projects the association is currently working on alongside projects the City of Snyder has already made happen, all intended on increasing Officer safety and operational capabilities.

The Snyder Police Association would like to extend an apology to those that feel that our extending our raffle drawing hurt your odds of winning. We were unable to conduct the raffle drawing on the day printed on the tickets and extended it to November 17th which is the date of our next regularly scheduled meeting. This extension was due primarily to the fact that we did not have a meeting space for the 20th or a Quorum at the time of the meeting. This extension is allowable by law under the Charitable Raffles Enabling Act (CREA).

To clarify on the complaint received, overall odds of winning are 1:1000, which has not changed, this is due to a set amount of tickets available.

The SPA is attempting to raise money needed for our annual benevolent projects as well as raising money that will provide Rifle-Rated Armor for the police department. If anyone would like a refund for their raffle ticket purchase, please let us know and we will be happy to consider it at our next meeting.
