The American Heart Association is excited to extend their work with the NFL to support improving health outcomes at home and beyond through the Hands-Only CPR education. Students that complete the Finn’s Mission learning module will earn an entry for two tickets to Super Bowl LIX in 2025 and our school will be entered to receive a $10,000 fitness equipment makeover for every 18 completed Finn’s Missions.

Every day, school counselors make a difference for students. National School Counseling Week is Feb. 5-9. We are excited to recognize the

The Get Caught Being KIND bingo board schoolwide activity will begin today.

The leadership students will visit the classrooms and explain the activity. When the student fills up their BINGO board, they can take the completed board to the office for a prize.

Vale Assassins Wrestling

January Theme

The Christmas Tournament 2023 winners are the staff!!! Mr DeLong has some hops! Mrs Peasley is a rebounding machine, Mrs Flynn made a bucket and Mrs Wilson dominates the key. Lastly, Miss Gregory led the team in assists! Thank you coach Jacobs and Ashley for officiating! Merry Christmas everyone!

1st/2nd Grade:

The Grinch stole our Christmas Tree and presents. The kids had to work on making the Grinch get into the holiday spirit by singing Christmas songs and coming up with a plan to make the Grinch smile. They convinced the Grinch to give their presents back. We made Who Hash trail mix, Grinch punch, and Who pudding. The students played a Grinch coding game and worked on Grinch-themed STEM projects like designing a new Christmas tree out of legos and packing a sleigh with the most presents. The Grinch even licked our candy canes and turned them green.

Some cool CTE activities happening in Mr. DeLongs classroom this afternoon.

It's the last week to sign up for Girls' Basketball through the Ontario Recreation Department.

Girls basketball for those in the 1st-6th grade. If the maroon jersey from 2022 still fits, you do not need to purchase a new one. If you do not have an ORD jersey, please purchase one. Nyssa, Vale and Adrian, if you purchase a jersey they will be ordered in your color (black, blue, green).

If you have a request for a coach or player, make it now, in the special request box. Requests are NOT guaranteed, but once rosters are finalized, they are less likely.

Some travel will be required, Ontario, Adrian, Nyssa and Vale. Games will be played on Saturdays.

All ONTARIO teams will practice in Ontario.

In District (lives within Ontario School District boundaries)- Early Reg: $25 Regular Reg: $35

Out of District (lives outside of the Ontario School District boundaries)- Early Reg: $35 Regular Reg: $45

Jersey Cost: $15

Season will be played January through February. All games will be played on Saturdays. Practices will be in the evening. Your coach will let you know about practice dates, times, and locations. The earliest practices will begin at 6:15 pm, for Ontario.

We need volunteer coaches! If you are interested in coaching, please sign yourself up to coach AND sign up the child to participate!
