This is most misunderstood travel destination of 2024 🇪🇬
I booked my trip with and while some experiences were gifted, all opinions are my own.
Truly and honestly, my trip to Egypt was one of the most incredible experiences of my lifetime and I’ve been to over 55 countries.
Here’s what you need to know:
📝 The hustle culture is real because inflation makes it difficult for families to survive. This makes sales people more forward, but you are not typically in any real danger - just walk silently away and don’t make eye contact.
💸 Pay a little bit more to travel in semi private or small group environments because the attention you’ll receive from the guide/organizers will be 10 times better
🚘 private/semi private cars are more affordable then you think and make a huge difference in your comfort levels when it comes to transfers and being in the heat
🏃🏽♀️ Leave Cairo!! There are countless other locations that are both beautiful and so much more calm than the capital.
👛 this is a tipping culture for tourist as salaries are not particularly high and suffer against inflation. Bring small denominations of money with you. ($1s, $5s, $10s)

💰THEN you need to figure out how to sustain yourself abroad, whether that’s through a full-time job, an apprenticeship, or bringing a remote visa with you.
🤑 The tax situation varies based on your type of visa and residence permit, BUT keep in mind that Beckham’s Law reduces your tax liability significantly if you’re a foreign worker for 6 years,
