NAPOS

Committed to saving the North America Possum from the obesity that plagues their population.

We at NAPOS (North American Possum Obesity Society) have been longing to get the word out about obesity in the North American Possum. According to several sources, every 30 seconds a possum loses the ability to see its feet, 3 out of 4 possums die prematurely due to obesity, and obesity is the leading cause of osteoarthritis in the possum population. We often forget how important the possum is to trash disposal and to the spread of the most desired disease, rabies.

oPossums are the best!!!!!

"One of the cutest beings on this planet, an opossum, also one of the most misunderstood. They are marsupials, they do not transmit rabies and are indispensable for pest control, they are naturally docile and gentle, and when scared they show their teeth and hiss to appear menacing, but when they are terrified they don't "play" possum - they quite literally faint from fear - so do not harm them!"

❤️❤️❤️

It’s cold out there. Please be kind to opossums. Many of them find a cozy place to combat the cold. ( so many we see are missing parts of tails , ears , toes , due to previous frost bite ) and your garage or porch may be the only place they have , they won’t hurt anything , I promise , and shooing them out may be certain death due to lack of shelter. They are Northern America’s ONLY marsupial. And these precious souls eat fleas , ticks and other pests.
Please. This holiday season. Be kind. Be the change you wish to see in the world
