What a whirlwind! ✨ We are incredibly excited to share that WALKER Movement Theatre Company has received Arts Council funding! 🎉 It's a momentous start to our journey as we are about to embark on the new tour of TREAD, and we are truly grateful for this opportunity to further our artistic visions for this work 🙏🏽💫
As a result, we are now on the lookout for more talented collaborators to join our Production Team. If you are POC and enjoy dance works that poke and prod at ideas surrounding Race and Otherness, please do get in touch so we can create something truly special together! 🌟
📝 ABOUT TREAD
Within an empty space stands a treadmill, the centerpiece of WALKER Movement Theatre Company's thought-provoking choreography. Through play causality and stunt performance techniques, TREAD creates a mesmerising exploration of the Black moving body that invites audiences into a realm where joyful fantasy and brutal realities transcend and coexist.
