Tonight!

Reminder: first men’s group tonight!

📖 Growing up in Christianity, I heard and read the verse “Be still and know that I am God” more times than I can say. Even since letting go of my Christian dogma, I’ve often found solace in the words.

But recently the words came up in my consciousness, and for the first time, I heard them not as though coming from an outer source, but coming from within 🧘🏽- not some celestial being telling to know that he is God, but my own inner wisdom telling me to rest in the knowledge that I am God.

Now, is Rob having deletions of grandeur, you might ask 😋

Fair question, but no.

These days, I see God not as some guy in the sky, but as Life itself - the life force that animates us all.

And this Life, it’s all around us, it’s in us, it IS us. Each of us is a manifestation of Life. The same aliveness that is in the movement of the galaxy, that whips up a hurricane, or that is in every plant and animal on the planet…is in each of us. Is each and every one of us.

So in that sense, we are all Life.

We are all God.

You are God.

Just sit with that.

I know it may sound crazy, or like some hippie bu****it, but if you can be still and just sit with that - with the notion that beyond your perceived identity, beyond your ego, beyond all the stress, pain, anger, and general bu****it you have to deal with…

Beyond all that, on a deeper level, you are God.

If you can let that sink in, all the bu****it just kinda starts to fade a bit. It just doesn’t have the same weight, the same power. It doesn’t matter as much in the light of who you really are.
