You can ask up to five additional custom questions during print order checkout. These questions can be varied for each price plan. For example, for school photography, you might need to know the pupil’s teacher for delivering orders.

You can “hold” orders for 1-28 days with proof delay, giving you the chance to review cropping, retouch files or simply upload your best hi-res originals.

When you’re done working on the files, you may “approve” the order and immediately send for printing. However, if you take no action, the order will automatically be sent for printing after the specified number of days.

You will always have collections that you want or need to access more regularly. In order to make finding these collections easier, you can pin them to the My Images fly-out menu. This makes your pinned collection one click away from the control panel.

Give your image collections some extra wow factor by using cover photos.

You can customise each customer’s collection with a cover image, displaying a single beautiful image to introduce your client gallery to the visitor.

Each collection can use a different cover photo and different settings, giving you maximum control as well as ensuring the best choice for each collection.

Just so you know, you can now upload Canon raw CR3 files. These are non-thumbnailed files so they will show an icon but not a thumbnail, just like the CR2 files.

When you have something important to tell your customers, it can be hard to know where to display it on your website so it will really stand out. Sometimes a web page isn’t prominent enough and at other times, the information doesn’t warrant an entire page dedicated to it.

The notification bar is generally used to display currently important information to your visitors and is usually updated fairly regularly and not shown in between times.

For example, an announcement bar could be used to display information about flash sales, Christmas announcements, holiday breaks, scheduled maintenance, holiday opening times and any other important announcement.

As the information in the notification bar may change quite regularly you can schedule it to display from certain dates, to ensure your message is always up to date. You can also make them a link to another page, should you need to give more information to your customers. For example, regarding flash sales or special offers.

As a photographer, you will most likely specialise in different subjects or genres. This can lead to a large collection and a wide variety of images. This can make it complicated for potential customers to find the images they are searching for, however, you can make it easier by creating a virtual collection of images.

If you have added keywords to your images, selected the access policy to “public” and ticked the checkbox to make your images searchable, you can use those keywords to create a “virtual collection”.

So, for example, let’s say you are an architectural photographer. You have a beautiful collection of architectural images including commercial and residential buildings of all types.

A client calls and says that she has a commission coming up but she would really like to see some examples of hotels you’ve photographed in the past. If you have added relevant keywords to your images then you can create a virtual collection of just hotel images.

If you specialise in events or wedding photography, you may have times when you want to give different clients access to different options or experiences.

With a custom access code, you can allow different visitors to benefit from different products, pricing and experiences from one collection.

For example, if you are a photographer at a trade fair or corporate event you may have agreed that as part of your fee the event organisers can download any photos from the event for free. However, all trade exhibitors or attendees can also purchase prints and downloads from the event.

Rather than creating two separate collections with two separate price lists of the same event, a different custom access code for the event organisers would allow them to access their free downloads. While the exhibitors or event guests could use the standard access code to view the event images as well as sales options for prints and downloads.
