Why else are we here if not to live with unreasonable passion for things?

How do I keep the peace during the madness of December? I say No. To literally everything. I keep my routine, get more sleep than usual to compensate for the dark season, and don’t feel obligated to a single social function.

I am often referred to a Scrooge, but I’m fine with the nickname.

You can still know peace, without knowing what comes next.

Finally broke out to the mountains for the weekend. Nothing fills the cup quite like blue bird mountain days, cozy sips and fresh air.

We only had a small taste of what Waterton Lakes National Park has to offer, and we can’t wait to get back and explore more. I cried twice; once after a nasty tumblr down the mountain, and once when I saw the buffalo🦬.

**The Rocky Mountains have entered the chat **

8 months ago, on a hiking trip in the Rockies, we were hit with a huge nudge from the universe to start expanding our thoughts on what our future looked like. We spent months getting clear on our next steps and putting plans in motion, but we are officially settled into our new life in Calgary.

Remember these three simple rules in life:
1. If you do not go after what you want, you’ll never have it.
2. If you do not ask, the answer will always be no.
3. If you do not step forward, you will always be in the same place.

The courage it takes to leave behind what’s not for you anymore, is the same courage that will help you find your way to what is.

And it will be scary. At first.
But what I hope you’ll find in the end is that in leaving, you don’t just find love, adventure or freedom. More than anything, you find you.

Last adventure of the summer with my crew. Tiny conquered his biggest mountain of the year, we watched the sun rise above the clouds, and spent hours watching whales at the beach. 🏔🐳🏕⛰
