Have you heard of the course we are working on? It is called P.E.rfect. The goal of P.E.rect is to promote physical education for autistic children. πŸƒβ€β™‚πŸƒβ€β™€

Autism may be characterised by poor verbal and nonverbal communication, restricted interests, and repetitive behaviour.

P.E.refect aims to tackle the issues of exclusion that society inflicts on these groups of individuals. The program will do this by promoting physical education to encourage greater social skills development to better integrate into society and live independently. 😁

Exercise can be a part of our everyday life in ways you would not expect. Even household chores can give you a workout. πŸ’ͺ

🧹 Sweeping and vacuuming engage our upper body muscles, giving them a workout.

🚰 Mopping the floors involves a lot of bending, reaching, and twisting, which helps to stretch and strengthen our core muscles.

🍳 Cooking and meal preparation require constant movement, from chopping ingredients to stirring pots. These actions can improve dexterity and coordination while burning some calories.

🧺 Doing laundry involves lifting and carrying heavy baskets, giving your arms and legs a solid workout. Plus, the repetitive motions can be quite meditative and help reduce stress.

πŸ’¦ Cleaning windows and scrubbing surfaces can engage your upper body and core muscles, providing a great workout opportunity.

By incorporating exercise into our daily routines, we can turn our homes into gyms while keeping them clean. ✨πŸ’ͺ😁

Are you looking for a way to stay active and feel empowered? Our martial arts sessions are designed to be inclusive so anyone can participate.😁

Research shows that people who participate in martial arts have improved mental well-being. Journal of Sports Science and Medicine did a study and found that regularly partaking in martial arts leads to significantly decreased symptoms of anxiety and depression in adults (Kim et al., 2016). Why not drop by and experience some of these benefits for yourself? πŸ’ͺπŸ™‚πŸ₯‹

More than one in three adults in the EU is physically inactive. This is even greater for persons with disabilities (EU Journal of Public Health, 2021), who are far more likely to lead sedentary lifestyles and be obese (Emerson, 2016). 🀯

The HEPA4ALL project raises awareness and promotes the use of adaptive health-enhancing physical activities, like the one shown in the video, into areas like home and the workplace. πŸ’ͺ

Keep an eye out for our upcoming HEPA4ALL course, which will help you incorporate fun physical activity into your daily life:
