“Quarter of a century is a relatively smaller time in an institutions life but a very large part in a professional career. I have been a witness to the phenomenal growth of our college and was privileged to be a part of the growth and in the process gained experience, knowledge and above all great friends as my colleagues. I can only look back with pride at what I gained. I joined this college as an Assistant Professor and today I am a Professor and Vice Principal. What a ride it has been and I am sure the future will be even more brighter- even more enlightening- a privilege and an honour.” - Dr. Moushumi Datta, Vice Principal

The essence of humanity is establishing a way of helping the fellow human by having least negative repercussion. B-Foundation has created a tradition of conducting newspaper drives i.e. collecting old newspaper from residential complex, selling them and donating the proceedings to recognized NGOs. On 29th of September, they conducted the drive from Borivali to Goregaon and managed to pursue our efforts as we gathered a much higher quantity than last year's. The total collection was approximately 300 kg which is a huge success and will go for the betterment of the needy.

We never imagined that one of our credit-based one-week workshops on research methodology for the students of MA Economics would convert many of them as researchers. We will introduce those young researchers soon!!

All credit goes to our Dept. of Economics and Library and Information Centre for jointly conducting this innovative programme.

Library’s Research Literacy Programmes have built a strong research culture among our PG students. Some innovative workshops are lined up from the Library and we are hopeful to get great results.

"We all have a wow moment in our life. It's a wonderful feeling altogether. At this moment, one feels complete, one feels that everything is rolling out perfectly. Very often people remember these moments and store them away in their memories, only to come back to them later to have something to smile about. If you remember these moments, you can become happier and live a good life. One such moment for me was when I was working, say, about 15 years ago, I had never been abroad then. And my job was such that travelling was not a part of it. But one morning, I got an e-mail which said there was a training being conducted in Hong Kong and my boss was sitting right in front of me. I just randomly happened to share this training thing with him and he immediately sent a mail to the MD and told him about the training too. In just two-three minutes, the MD had granted me permission to go. When I told my wife about it, she was surprised! That was the happiest moment of my life. I have a passion for teaching and I feel that if I am able to share my stories with my students in the class, a connection is built, which according to me is extremely important. See, life is beautiful and there is so much to smile about! In every situation, we should focus on how we can better ourselves, how we can help others around us, and most importantly, how we can find the light at the end of the tunnel!"
- Prof. Satish Bendre
