This law directs the CDC to provide funding and resources to state, local, and tribal public health officials to increase early detection and diagnosis, reduce risk, support the needs of caregivers, and address health disparities.

As a top Black fashion model, B. graced the cover of Essence several times. She's included in the OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network docuseries Time of Essence celebrating Essence which has informed and reflected Black culture in America since 1970.

On this 4th anniversary of B.'s passing, we'd like to share this beautiful celebration of her life by The New York Times. It is an inspiring story of her incredible journey and accomplishments. Rest in peace, dear B.

B. Smith, Model Turned Restaurateur and Lifestyle Guru, Dies at 70 (Published 2020) Often called the black Martha Stewart, Ms. Smith wrote books on cooking and entertaining, had a syndicated television show, and created a line of products.
