Celebrations with one of the very important members of our team!
has completely transformed my riding and biomechanics in the last year, even comparing our performance at Pau to Badminton, the improvements are so noticeable.
Itās the small percentages that make up the whole picture, and with Clareās help I really feel like weāre making lasting progress, and she is helping me to help my horses. (I also think it was one of the main reasons I was able to cling on after Demons leap off the BP mound at Badminton š)
Anyone looking to improve their performance should really get in touch, itās amazing how intricate details can really make a huge difference.
Thankyou Clare! And hereās to another year of working together š«¶š»ā¤ļøš

What is going onā¦.?! Youāre in very real painā¦..
š©Have you had every scan and test under the sun and theyāve all come back āclearā and you have no structural issues?
š©Have you exhausted all conventional therapies and had no or temporary relief?
š©Are you using painkillers to just function day to day?
š©Have you been told itās āall in your headā?
ā¢
āNo. Youāre not imagining it. Your brain has a neural circuit problem. By addressing neural activity and learned non-use in your brain, we can reprocess how and what it perceives as a threat. We can therefore eliminate it using the protocol and take the body from feeling under threat to a state of order

šDay 1 of unwrapping the complex issue of pain!š
ā¢
If you took a sample population of people in their 30ās who presented with ZERO symptoms of back pain:
ā”ļø40% would have evidence of Degenerative Disk Disease (DDD)
ā”ļø30% would have evidence of bulging disks
ā¢
If we increase the sample age to those in their 50ās (again with ZERO pain)
ā”ļø80% would show DDD
ā”ļø60% would have evidence of bulging disks
ā”ļø30% would have evidence of disk herniation

š©Soā¦ just because the MRI says you have a āproblemā, donāt forget this is firstly a perfectly normal part of ageing
š©Secondly an MRI ispurely a snapshot in time of what is going on inside you at that precise split second. It DOES NOT equate to why you are in pain/or not in pain!
ā¢
As therapists and medical professionals, we have a duty to treat the person and NOT the MRI. Yes it can be helpful and influence our treatment protocol but Words are powerful and understanding that an issue with an MRI doesnāt mean a lifetime of pain is guaranteed. The body is incredibly capable of healing and so we need to consider other causes of the painā¦..
ā¢
š§ Thatās where we need to consider Neurocircuit painā¦. But thatās for day 2! šLink to study in bio š

When the tongue is developing in utero at about the fourth week, its first duty is to shape the maxilla.
The tongue should reach the palate to form a nice wide horseshoe shape.
Our tongue controls our body in ways we are unaware. It influences and interacts with the body's system.
The cervical spine is engaged when the tongue is pressed up to the palate.
With poor tongue posture and mouth breathing, the head moves forward due to a lack of support. Without a clear airway, normal breathing cannot occur, and your upper body will move forward.Ā Ā Forward head posture can lead to different local and systemic pathologies.
If you are a mouth breather, try this to strengthen your tongue and throat muscles.
Place the tip of your tongue against the back of your top front teeth. Slowly slide your tongue backward with the tip moving along the roof of your mouth. Repeat 5-10 times.

The last supported rider for this season is: .equestrian
ā¢
I am an event rider based on our family yard, with an exciting string of 4 horses competing up to BE Novice level and BS Newcomers. Our main aim to finish the season on a 2*S or hopefully an intermediate on Quality Blue who is the king of the yard.
I am really passionate about the horses and competing and put in a lot of ground work with schooling/training, time and commitment into all of them. I want to identify my weaknesses, learn about the psychology and ways in which I can improve my effectiveness as a rider to benefit the horse. I think it is really important to keep working on the rider to ensure you are as effective as possible to get the best results out of the horses.
