EXPLORE Magazine conducted a Best Of contest, for the whole county. And our customers came through for us!
If I can be honest for a second....
It's not because the store is constantly filled to the brim with shoppers. It's not because we get a bunch of tourist foot traffic. It's not because a bunch of people even know about us.
Our shop can get very quiet. This summer, in particular, has been way slower than I'd like.
🧡 So, it's because we have incredible local makers in our store. It's because their unique products are made with quality ingredients, time, attention to detail, and love. It's because our shop is cute, welcoming, inviting. It's because I've made it convenient to shop with us (how can you beat delivery to your door or shipping across the country?). It's because I work countless hours on social media and e-newsletters, to keep our outreach going. And I hope it's because our customers receive excellent customer service from me, and love seeing my smiling face when they come in.
😘 Whatever the reason, we cannot thank our shoppers enough for their support over these last few years, and for the votes to make this award happen! You guys rock!

🧡 Here at the shop, we want to do better by our planet. Every day. But especially Earth Day.
🤷‍♀️ Did you know?
• From Scratch Farm's products are made with natural, simple ingredients. No toxins. Very little packaging. If there is packaging, Amy's choosing glass (as often as she can), that can be recycled, repurposed, or returned to the shop for sterilization and reuse. AND, for several products, you can bring your empty bottles into the shop for budget- and eco-friendly refills.
• Bear and Roo Candle Co.'s candles are poured into glass, topped with biodegradable kraft paper lids. You can repurpose those jars (Tia says, even use them as drinking glasses) or bring them back to our shop for reuse. And the lids can be recycled or dropped into your compost bin.
• crazy.plant.lovee's business is the epitome of upcycling! Ashleigh thrifts many of the containers that she uses, repurposing them to house all of her plants and succulents. When she uses the phrase "put a plant in it," she means EVERYTHING. She saves lots of items from ending up in the trash and our landfills.
• Botanical for Life-jewelry takes great care when collecting the Earth's beauty, for their goods. Yvette makes sure to carefully cut each flower at the proper time, making sure the plant can reseed and regrow year after year. And she's careful not to damage surrounding plant life or disrupt the ecosystem they thrive in.
• Careha + Co is all about glass packaging, that can be recycled, repurposed, or returned for sterilization and reuse. And Carley collects shipping materials from the packages she receives in the mail (saving that from the trash), even donating some to our shop, to help me send out our orders with eco-friendly packing.
•And while MIXY can't reuse her glass jars to make more of her craft cocktail starters, Meredith does encourage everyone to find a great way to reuse them. Think drinks, storage, gifting, or terrariums!
