But it still took me five months of building it up in my head before I said enough 👏🏼 is 👏🏼 enough and took action.

I am Joelle, the face behind Dope Magic Co. I created this business five years ago (January 19th to be specific!) when I was 24 years old and wow what a journey it has been. I’ve been blessed to create websites for a wide range of businesses ranging from therapists, restaurants, coaches, authors, and in the last year have fallen in love with working with beauty professionals. I’m excited to grow this community and get to know each of you more personally 🥹

1. My father is British and my mother is Belgian. They moved to the US right before I was born. ✈️
2. English is my second language! I grew up speaking French at home and I didn’t really speak English until I was 5 🧒🏼
3. I have lived in Cape Town, France, Belgium, Portland OR, Austin TX, Radford VA, and am now based in Lexington KY where I was born and raised. 🐎
4. I’ve been designing websites since I was 12 years old, tbt to myspace days 💻
5. I backpacked South America by myself for 3 months. Peru is one of my favorite countries in the world! 🇵🇪
6. After college, I sold everything I had and bought a one way ticket to France where I became a travel blogger and blogged about budget traveling. It was called Riding Around The Globe and made me fall in love with web design again 🌎
7. I’m the baby of 5 siblings! My oldest sister and I have 17 years difference between us 😱
8. I’m a Libra sun, Scorpio moon, and Cancer rising. If you love astrology, affirmations, holistic health, cycle syncing, moon rituals, and manifestation, you’re my type of people! ✨
9. I hosted my own podcast “How Do You Deal With” that covered topics like how do you deal with divorce, moving to a new city, bad acne, and other topics that aren’t always easily talked about. It’s been awhile since I posted new episodes but I’m so grateful I still have those episodes to look back on. 🎧
10. I have 5 names! Joelle Anais Eleanore Rolleston Riding is my full name, what a mouth full right? 🤪
