Well that was a whirlwind of a concert! We are so happy to have played this massive program for our audience in Wiener Neustadt! We had a blast playing together and sharing these unknown and standard duos with everyone listening! Until next time!

Well that was a summer. It all ended last night when I played a concert back at home in Southern California to my wonderful home community and family. It all started at the end of May when I went to the first festival of the summer season and then rolled from one to another, country to country and venue to venue. In total, 54 concerts in 4 months and I absolutely canât wait to put my suitcase under the bed for the next three weeks in Paris where Iâll be focusing with our and preparing the upcoming season. A huge highlight of this summer was running my .kammermusikfestival in Southern Germany and using my creative energy to create something unique and special for my friends to enjoy. Another highlight was going to the for the first time and the wonderful opportunity to play in settings unimaginable for musicians. And Iâm so happy that I was able to end my summer festival tour in breathtaking Cornwall at . This summer has definitely been the most busy that Iâve ever experienced and even though I feel musically fulfilled, I can safely say that next summer will definitely have a few more ârefreshâ days planned.
As musicians, we have a tendency to just go-go-go, but we need to remember that in order for a car to run, it needs a source of power for it move forward. We need to find time to breathe and to refresh our batteries in order to perform at the highest standard and this is what Iâm trying to teach myself throughout this stage of my life. As a best friend once told me, âYouâre not forced to take everything in your life and itâs ultimately up to you on what you take and the effect that it has on your life.â
From the red rocks of Moab to the Atlantic coast in Cornwall, Iâve been so lucky to call music my career and I am honored to be able to make a living doing what I love. I feel extremely blessed to have such a wonderful group of friends and a beautiful family that supports me in all that I do and I canât wait to see where my future takes me! Now letâs get a good nights sleep on this flight from Dallas to Paris and start this fall season with a rehearsal right when I land đ
And just like that, another Open Chamber Music week at Prussia Cove is over! What a wonderful week with old and new friends at this beautiful place. I had such a great time working on both Janacekâs Intimate Letters and Schumannâs Piano Quartet and it was just my luck that I was able to spend my birthday there in paradise.
Finishing of my summer by being back in Southern California before heading back to Paris next Sunday.
What a really cool experience to perform Shostakovichâs 15th Symphony transcribed for Piano Trio and Percussion with such wonderful musicians! This was part of KUGâs () Seite-an-Seite concert where students and professors perform together in a chamber music setting. Us students were paired with the amazing on cello and .ulrike on percussion and we had a great time putting together this difficult and insanely intricate work that was supposed to be for 100 musicians. In addition to the professors, we had my great friend .segal.piano on piano and two new colleagues and on percussion! Hope the next time we get to perform in this constellation is not long from now!

Our second Miesbach Kammermusikfestival has officially ended!
Last year, we had our first season with 8 musicians for 5 days and 1 concert. This year we had 11 musicians for 11 days and 3 concerts! I find it so incredible how we have grown so much in just one year! Our three concerts were absolutely full, complete with standing ovations and multiple encores! This year we grew to have two bank sponsors, a car partner, a coffee sponsor, and multiple other sponsors and partners who came together to make this all a possibility!
The musicians were and are such a huge part of what makes this festival so special. Not only are they some of the most incredible musicians I have ever met, but the most humble and down to earth humans I have ever come across. A huge thank you to the 7 musicians last year and the 10 this year for coming and starting this festival on the best foot possible.
The largest thank you to the wonderful Sophie Bundschuh for making this dream a reality! She was definitely the glue and backbone and one of the main reasons this was all possible. I am so lucky to have her by my side. I also canât say thank you enough to the entire Bundschuh family for all their help before and during the festival. From marketing to feeding the musicians, to helping with our local community and the rotary club, to literally everything under the sun, thank you from the bottom of my heart. And thank you to the three host families for all their help in housing the musicians!
I am speechless and so happy to have had such a successful festival this year and we are already deep into planning next year!
We hope to see you all there for our concerts in 2023 on August 19th/23rd/27th! Keep checking our website for updates!

A little bit of much needed R&R after months of non-stop traveling, projects, and concerts. Well.. more like a working-vacation as weâve been hard at work on this years Miesbach Kammermusikfestival which is happening in only 11 days!
â¨
I find it really important, especially in a demanding career such as ours, to find time to take care of yourself and have the space to breathe. I see too many musicians reach a point of burning out that I am trying to make myself aware of what my mind, body, and soul needs. When I feel close to being overworked, I make sure to remind myself that sometimes the most productive thing you can do, is relax. đ
And we are done here in Italy at the 19th edition of the Rome Chamber Music Festival! It was so nice to see old friends and make new ones! Thank you Robert McDuffie for inviting me again to the beautiful city of Rome to play chamber music. What an experience it was to open the festival with Schubertâs Death and the Maiden with Federico Piccoti, Toby Cook, and Barbara Warchalewska! We were able to perform at the historic Teatro Argentina where Rossini premiered his Barber of Seville! Our cellist, Barbara is a star as she learned the last two movements of the quartet a day before the performance due to an emergency cello situation. Looking forward to coming back to this special city and canât wait for more Italian food đ
Now at the airport, 5kgâs of pasta heavier, flying into a busy summer!
