What do bunnies, eggs, and candy have to do with the return of Jesus? Well, nothing. Truthfully, no one knows for sure why bunnies or eggs are linked to Easter. We DO know that German immigrants brought the Easter bunny legend (a.k.a. Oschter Haws) to America in the 1700s. This bunny functioned a lot like Santa Claus, rewarding good kids with gifts on the eve of Easter.

While there's nothing inherently evil about the Easter bunny or Easter eggs, if your parents have said your family will not associate with commercialized Easter, you must respect that decision (Ephesians 6:1). If they don't mind or don't care though, then incorporating the Easter bunny or eggs into your Easter Sunday is a matter of conviction between you and God (John 16:8; John 16:13).

UR Health Research Study Opportunity

SUBJECTS NEEDED FOR VIDEO GAME RESEARCH



Cognitive Neurophysiology Lab

We are recruiting adolescents with and without ADHD for a study to better understand video games and decision-making.

Participation will include one visit (~3 hours). The child will be asked to look at images on a screen while we use Eye Tracking and electroencephalogram (EEG) to monitor brain activity. Children will also participate in psychological testing and behavioral questions related to video game playing.

Parent/guardians will receive $25 for completing surveys. Reimbursement $18 per hour for child.

Subjects should:
• Be 11 to 17 years old
• Have normal (or corrected-to-normal) vision
• Have no history of major head injury
• Subjects with ADHD should have a formal clinical diagnosis

The Youth Group is doing a clothing drive to benefit Go Ministries in Rochester, NY. If you have gently used or new clothing that you no longer want/wear , but bring it to the Church this coming week (Fri) for Youth Group, or drop it off at the Miller's. Clothing appropriate for all sizes and ages is welcome! Thank you!!!

There's no Youth Group this week. Two of our members are competing in the Kendall School Talent Show. We are going to go to the Talent Show to cheer them on! Tickets are $3 at the door.

The show is at 7pm. If you need a ride, I'll be picking people up in the van! Hope you can come out and support our talented Youth!
