After 40 years of educational service under the name Metropolitan Career Center and its career school program Computer Technology Institute, have re-branded as The Workforce In
stitute (WFI) and The Workforce Institute’s City College (City College). The re-branding better reflects the workforce development services that provide professional development, tech skills, and job readiness to prepare participants for 21st century technology-based careers. The Workforce Institute and City College will continue their mission to train and place individuals with limited access to educational opportunities with resources to meet employers’ changing workforce needs-- through a continuum of services. Advising and guiding you to help them achieve training and employment success. Promoting professional attitudes and behaviors as well as self-awareness, self-discipline and self-confidence. Sharing and offering business-world oriented experiences to deliver practical on-the-job training, internships and practicums. Assisting you after graduation with job placement and provide supportive services for two years after graduation. In addition to workforce development courses, associate in specialized technology degree programs and certifications are offered for the Medical, Business and Technology fields. City College assists graduates with job placement and supportive services for two years following graduation.
