Dark-eyed junco, house finch (he was singing me a song!), downy woodpecker, and brown creeper.
A delightfully round song sparrow. They were poking around, searching for goodies the other birds may have missed.
Downy woodpecker, dark-eyed junco, white-throated sparrow, and Carolina chickadee.
Northern cardinal, downy woodpecker x2, and white-throated sparrow.
American goldfinch, pileated woodpecker (that's my boy, Jeremy!), dark-eyed junco, and tufted titmouse.
I'm alive! Really, I am! I hadn't realized how much time has passed since I last posted here.
In an attempt to catch up with my more recent work, I've decided that I'm going to do a few photo dumps! My favorite of this batch would be the male downy woodpecker.

Hi everyone! I hope you've been doing well. I'm back in the saddle and ready to share more of our birds with the world.
Here's an American goldfinch sitting on a branch.
I adore chickadees, especially ours. Easily one of my top 10 favorite birds.
Where to next?
Hang on there tight, chickadee!
You are not immune to tuftie propaganda.
A sweet little black-capped chickadee. I really like the lighting on this one!
Strike a pose, you're in the spotlight!
Someone wasn't happy their dinnertime was so rudely interrupted!
"Are you done yet? I want to visit the feeders!"
A rather handsome dark-eyed junco. I love photographing these little guys.
I used to be able to tell the northern cardinals apart, but that was before their flock doubled in size!
Giving me some of that tuftie attitude!
I had thought this was a male house finch at first, but after looking more closely, I realized it's a male purple finch! He didn't stay around long as this was during winter migration.
You can tell how behind I am in my backlog by the coloring of this American goldfinch! This was taken in October of last year, well after their breeding season.
Another species of bird that will appear here often; the downy woodpecker. If you look close enough, you can see a tiny patch of red on the noggin!
It's hard to stay mad at the squirrels when they're this cute. I guess it also helps that I have a soft spot for rodents of any kind!
A male white-breasted nuthatch eyeing down the feeders from a nearby tree.
These were taken at a nearby nature trail. The northern mockingbirds there are very human friendly and love to ham it up for the camera.

This blue jay wasn't sure what to make of my camera

It'll become very obvious which species of songbird is my favorite. There are four tufted titmice altogether and they visit us daily.
