What does it mean to sell a Call Credit Spread? โ๐พ
When you write an option contract, you sell it to receive a premium, expecting the underlying stock to act in your favor.
With a Call Credit Spread, you anticipate the underlying stock price to decrease or stay below the strike price. As long as the contract expires worthless by expiration, you can keep the entire premium.

If Iโm expecting the price of the underlying stock to decrease, I would buy a put.
Put options become more valuable as the price of the underlying stock decreases. Investors sometimes use put options as a form of risk management to protect their stock positions. It helps them weather the fall in stock prices for a time period at a specific price.
Investors and traders also use put options to speculate on the decrease in the underlying stock price for profits.

How much are your shares worth? ๐ต
As a seller, you're asking someone to pay for your shares.
๐ฃ๏ธ The price you're stating is how much you're asking them to pay, which is also known as the ask price. Whenever you're selling, you're essentially asking, and the sellers are on the ask side.
Buyers, on the other hand, place their bids, hoping sellers will meet them at those prices. However, more often than not, the shares are transacted in the middle, where the ask and bid prices meet.

The anticipation is building as you load the plane and suit up, and prepare for your jump.
Your heart starts to race, your palms get sweaty, as the plane ascends higher and higher the fear builds inside. In that moment you can't stop thinking about all of the things that could go wrong.
Then, you feel a tap on your shoulder as they tell you that it's time to jump, and now you're on the edge of the plane.
As you look down you remember that there are thousands of feet between you and the landing strip and as soon as you step off the edge there will only be you, the sky, and a parachute.
