On the fourth Day of Design Impact we're highlighting the launch party for the We Design Issue of ! The We Design Issue was a special publication featuring a selection of design stories from We Design, a series of programs by and for women, gender-expansive, and BIPOC designers.

To close the year, we are celebrating 12 Days of Design Impact, sharing stories and highlights from an impressive year while raising critical support for our education initiatives. Over the course of 12 days, we are encouraging $12 donations with a goal of raising $2,500 for the Design Museum Education Fund that will directly support design-education engagement for students in the new year. We hope you will consider participating by sharing this campaign and our mission to inspire social change through the transformative power of design!

Today is Day 1 of our celebration of 12 Days of Design Impact at Design Museum Everywhere! Give $12 to the Design Museum Education Fund to support design and social change workshops, design activities, mentoring, and a new design challenge for young people.

We'll be sharing stories of our work this past year starting with our new mission statement: to inspire social change through the transformative power of design. The new mission statement helped us to sharpen our focus on design that improves people's lives, and ultimately, our world.

We partnered with NuVu Innovation School to explore how to design and activate spaces with a community. Today our Curator, J.R. Uretsky, and Multimedia Artist Lani Asunción (pictured here with their work) visited NuVu students to provide feedback on the progress of an upcoming community event they are planning. Lani is the Artist Director and founding Member of Digital Soup.

We had an awesome conversation about designing Q***r spaces with Boston-based Artist, Educator & Mystic Maria Molteni, Jean E. Dolin curator of Portraits of Pride, and our Curator and Programs Director J.R. Uretsky.

NuVu Students will be responding to this event with a public activation of their own on Friday, October 27th, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at NuVu. We hope you can join us for this exciting student-generated program!
