Hello, the Greene County Master Gardeners are looking for a group to help with cleanup after our flower show on Saturday, April 27th. The show ends at 3 p.m. Help would include putting up tables and chairs, helping vendors load, and sweeping. A donation would be made to the group. Next piece of business, next Saturday april 13th white river poultry show. I will be unable to attend as I will be helping with our rabbit open show. It is a great opportunity for kids to show and buy birds. This event will be help at the owen county fairgrounds. Matt is generally there to help if you have questions.

Happy beautiful Monday morning!!! We have our 1st mtg Thursday. We will be taking meat bird orders, and t-shirt orders. Due to issues on my part with missing things last year, this will be our method of order this year. We will also be going over several things our schedule rules and changes. We are so excited for this year and what 4h holds in store!
If you haven't enrolled in 4-H, you can still enroll!!!
After January 31st (you can still enroll) BUT you will NOT receive any communication from us until you are enrolled.

Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza

The information reported here reflects the ongoing HPAI incident that began in February 2022 through the date of this report. New information is highlighted in BOLD ITALIC type.
CURRENT SITUATION
A commercial turkey farm in Daviess County has tested positive for highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI). The flock of 13,071 birds is under quarantine and marks the first positive commercial flock in Indiana in more than a year.
A 10km control area has been established around the flock known as "Daviess 02" and includes 45 commercial flocks and 48 hobby/backyard flocks. The entire control area is within Daviess County.
A 20km surveillance zone, which encompasses 56 commercial flocks, has been established and includes portions of Daviess, Martin and Greene counties.

We need afternoon workers and clean up for Holiday Bazaar. Poultry families, this is our fundraiser. Need help from 12-4.
For all of those who have donated food or pop items, we will be at the fairgrounds starting 415 on Thursday. If you would be able to drop those by, we can get them checked in. Thank you for the support. We are still in need of workers after 1130 please.

We will need workers for Saturday 830-1130 am and 1130 - close and tear down after closing. Hello chicken lovers Purdue will be putting on this zoom meeting November 8th 7pm. I thought this would be a great informational meeting about winterizing. Hope to see you all there!! Meeting will be at the fairgrounds main room. Spread the word!!
