Last week, we spend two wonderful days in the Czech Republic. After we had been in Usti nad Labem the day before, we arrived at TU Liberec on Wednesday morning. The first students were already waiting for us to check their application documents and find out about specific job offers. In the afternoon, we held information sessions both in German and English regarding the German job market, job research and most of all: regarding the application, as there are quite a few differences between the ideal CV/resume and cover letter in the Czech Republic and in Germany.
We would like to extend a big thank you to all the students who participated in this event and to our wonderful colleagues from Liberec!
Here, you'll find a short video about Saxony, its economy and some of the major employers to be found in the Freestate.

You'd really like to work for DreamCompany, the perfect employer for you. Then one day, all of a sudden, you find yourself in the elevator of a huge department store and next to you stands - the CEO of DreamCompany! The Elevator Pitch: When to Use it and Why - Simply Hired An elevator pitch is a way to help other people shortcut their thinking about you in a way that you guide and approve of. It allows them to understand what’s important about you without knowing your life story.
Last week, we started another visit to the Czech Republic. Škoda Auto a.s. in Mladá Boleslav welcomed 33 students of Technische Universität Chemnitz for a company visit. There, we gained a thorough insight into the past and present of the well-established international car manufacturer while visiting the Škoda museum as well as the factory. Especially fascinating were the pressing shop, where layers of metal receive their requested form under high pressure, as well as the assembly shop, where “the wedding” takes place – the assembly of engine and gearbox. Having also learned valuable information about entry opportunities. We thank the representatives of Škoda for the more than interesting day!
