The Bench to Bedside Initiative (formerly, Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club at Weill Cornell) was founded as a club in 2010 and has resulted in the creation of numerous seed-funded biotech startups. Bench to Bedside Initiative is also offered as a 1 credit elective course through Cornell and Rockefeller University. Bench to Bedside, hosted by the Bench to Bedside Initiative and the Sanders Tri-Institutional Therapeutics Discovery Institute, Inc., teaches basic financial analysis and principles of entrepreneurship. Lectures will cover evaluating the market potential of a technology, building basic financial models, funding mechanisms, and writing and presenting a business plan to potential investors. Lectures are open to members of Cornell University, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute, and Rockefeller University. We welcome leaders in the local NYC healthcare and biotechnology sector.
