12-05-2024 I got the lovely Becky ready for her big day. Working as part of .bridalteam I got Becky and her mum ready and Beth and Nisha did hair and makeup for all of the bridesmaids. It was a gorgeous day!

Taylor wanted to keep her makeup fairly natural, enhancing and perfecting her features and making her feel like the best version of herself.

Portfolio days are such a great way to get creative, try out new looks, practise skills and discover what works well behind the lens! .life modelled for me. Loved this makeup with a pop of gold in the centre, paired with a soft textured wavy ponytail.

I had quite a few messages since posting this style on my story yesterday so wanted to share a little bit about it.
It was a gorgeous bridal style to create. My client the lovely Donna had a full head of taped hair extensions in that she had professionally put in by her hairdresser where she lives in Dorset. The colour matched perfectly and they were only a bit longer than her own natural hair.
Hair extensions transform styles like this as they hold curls so well and gave maximum body. The small and delicate fresh flowers provided by her florist on thin wires really finished off the look!

Hair workshop today with really enjoyed recreating the two demo looks! I then tried out a half up bubble braid look just because I saw a video for a look like that online a few days ago! A fun day learning and developing my hair styling skills ☺️

Hair up is perfect for events at this time of year, if the weather is a bit blustery and drizzley hair up stays in place and out of your way all day and night!
I created this low bun with a plait one side for a bridesmaid on Friday. Blonde hair shows texture off beautifully I really enjoyed doing this one ☺️

Textured high bun with some loose ends for softness and plait for a bit of extra detail.
For makeup we did brown smokey eyes with plenty of shimmer, flawless skin and a pretty pinky lipstick to finish off the look ☺️

A year later than originally planned it was so lovely getting ready for her wedding day on Saturday ☺️
The autumnal theme and beautiful colours were perfect for a late October wedding.
Hair we went for an elegant but textured low bun with fishtail plait detail and for makeup flawless and natural with soft warm smokey eyes ☺️

For over 12 years I’ve been Laura’s hairdresser. I had the absolute pleasure of doing her hair and makeup for her wedding on Friday (4th time lucky after Covid restrictions dominated her previous 3 dates!).
Laura has very fine hair but had a clear vision of how she wanted her hair to ideally look for her big day. With careful use of a few clip in extensions and hair padding I was able to create the smooth chignon bun she was after. I kept her makeup natural but flawless, Smokey eyes with a hint of sparkle and some gorgeous false lashes to finish off the look!
I have done Laura’s hair and makeup for a whole manner of occasions over the years but this one was definitely my favourite ☺️

We’ve all been on a crazy rollercoaster ride these past 18 months but it’s been amazing to be able to get so many brides ready for their big day since things opened up again earlier this summer!

Bridal hair and makeup for the lovely Hannah today ☺️ it was my first time working at , their getting ready room is beautiful so full of light with modern soft furnishings and a calming colour scheme!
Hannah’s hair doesn’t hold a curl well so we decided to keep plaits as the feature with a soft side ponytail that would drop its curls slightly throughout the day without the whole style looking flat and limp!
For makeup we did natural slightly smokey eyes, flawless skin and pillowtalk medium lipstick for a bit more colour on her lips 💄

Third time lucky for the lovely Amy today, after 2 postponed wedding dates because of Covid restrictions over the past year Amy finally tied the knot today ☺️
It was such a pleasure getting her ready. We kept her hair soft and curly and makeup natural but flawless enhancing her gorgeous blue eyes.

My Hair and Makeup journey!
I have learnt so much since starting work in the industry 15 years ago (ok feeling a bit old now!), I have grown my business to undertake a whole host of events as a hair and makeup artist from weddings, fashion shows, proms and photoshoots. I started out as a hairdresser in Milan a hairdressing salon in Basingstoke which I learn a lot from but decided to spread my wings and go totally freelance in 2010, training in makeup to add an additional string to my bow. For 5 years I worked as a freelance artist for a fantastic management company Claire Hanson Celebrity Hair and Makeup Artist who helped me develop myself as an artist and sent me to take part in amazing events. During my time there I took on jobs for Universal records, The Luxury Wedding Show, made up clients for red carpet events (including film premieres) in many of the countries most exclusive hotels.
As well as undertaking my own hair and makeup clients, I also work as a freelancer for the Totally Flawless team and Beauty Infinity. My passion and drive comes through in my work . I try my upmost to make sure every client I meet feels and looks sensational when I have finished. I always give everything I can throughout my work and try to help my clients in every way I can. Outside of work I have a passion for travel, nature, wildlife and the mountains. My husband and I have done a couple of winter seasons in Meribel in the French Alps and both love snow sports. We tied the knot ourselves in May 2018 after 9 and 1/2 amazing years of making memories together! It’s true what they say, your wedding day really is the best day EVER!! We both know life is short so get out there, see what you want to see, seek out happiness, be spontaneous, enjoy living and don’t be afraid to take a chance, you never know it might change your life!
