Tell us about where you are from and how you got to this position today. I was born in Reston, Virginia. It’s a small town that nobody knows about and I plan on changing that. We’ve had some of the biggest names come to this city like Rihanna and Chuck Brown. I started getting into music at the age of 8 by remixing classic songs like Turn Off The Lights, Top Billin’, and Let’s Stay Together with my uncle. I listened to music non-stop when I was younger. I sang in the choir at church, but singing didn’t catch my attention as much as writing and rapping. Tell us more about the current song you are promoting to everyone. My new single is called I’m The S**t (Say Yeah), it’s basically a song letting everybody know I’m capable of being lyrical and I’m capable of killing beats. I’m not really the gimmick type of artist, I don’t want to be a one hit wonder. I want to be around for as long as I possibly can. ”
Tell us about one of the hardest challenges you had to face in the industry? Scams, everybody swears up and down they can get you to the next level, get you exposure. They lead you to believe that they can get you in front of A&Rs, managers, radio directors, and DJs, but in all actuality they just want your money and you’ll never hear from them again. I’ve come across a few of these scam artists, but I’m one of the few who ask for proof. What was one of the biggest set backs in your career and how did you bounce back? Losing my mother was the biggest setback I’ve ever faced, but I kept on writing the music, recording, performing. Losing her was one of my biggest setbacks, but it also pushed me to write better lyrics and helped me realize that this is what I want to do. She told me when I was sitting with her one day, “don’t ever let anyone keep you from achieving your dreams, no matter what.” That right there kept me on the right path”
