We are dedicated to doing quality work and doing the job right the first time. We provide aerial and underground splicing. We have done everything from Metro E splicing to entire FTTx builds. We have the capabilities of doing CWDM testing and fiber characterization.
Precision Fiber Splicing LLC is looking for a full time Fiber Splicer. Responsibilities will include terminating, splicing and testing fiber optic cables as well as troubleshooting and documenting as needed. Will splice fiber optic cables in the air, underground, and indoors. Will need to have attention to detail in regards to setting up splice locations, termination points, and general fiber optic construction. The work is typically performed outdoors, but indoor work may also be required.
Essential job functions include the ability to interpret and follow schematics to complete jobs as well as follow standardized reporting and documentation procedure to create a record of work. The candidate must be able to operate vehicles in a safe responsible manor and operate lifts to access and replace splice enclosures. Potential employees will possess the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, have the visual acuity to be able to distinguish colors and have finger dexterity for the operation of job equipment or hand tools.
Experience and requirements include a strong ability to work independently, flexible scheduling availability (mostly night work with occasional days), valid driver’s license and the ability to pass background and drug testing. Experience is preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
