Once upon a time, I was a girl in a punk band (spoiler: I still am!). I played guitar for years, fingers stretching around the neck of my guitar, in bliss. I toured around North America playing music with my best friends. I washed my hair using baking soda. 💫 I love my yoga punk crew!! Here’s to staying strong AND soft in 2019. Y’all know this punk yoga life is all about finding the middle. Especially during the goal-oriented energy we get at the beginning of the year—after all, it’s “resolutions” and Capricorn season—I don’t wanna burn out and I don’t want you to either! F**k capitalism: we can determine when to step back and find our chill. So I’ve been using my movement, music, and meditation practice to stay soft between these chaotic alpha moments. I do quiet breathwork at home. Attend restorative classes. And teach chill soundbaths.
