✨DAY 3: STEM CELL ACTIVATION RESULTS✨

1. Hubby is definitely smiling more 😁 and has noticed his anxiety has pretty much gone away! πŸ™πŸ»πŸ₯³

2. Today I experienced some fatigue as my body detoxes as cells regenerate

3. Hubby came home from work with so much energy β€” he was able to fully construct a large sofa we just purchased in large boxes 😳 πŸ“¦

4. I still no longer need coffee in the morning πŸ‘ŠπŸ’ͺ

I came across this amazing story and it gives me all the feels! πŸ™β€οΈ As a mother of an autistic young adult, I am excited to try using these patches on my son to address his anxiety and depression. Here's an incredible report from Mikey's mom, Cindy:

β€œLIFE began to change for my 19-year-old, severely autistic son Mikey in January 2024! With the Lord's blessing and the X39 quarter-sized patch, Mikey has, and continues to make, GINORMOUS gains. NEVER did I believe Mikey would be able to do ANY of the following: Dress himself appropriately (all major body parts covered), meal prep his breakfasts and lunches, start/transfer/dry/put away his laundry, push a 'Personal Hygiene' button on his iPad (we use the Proloquo2go communication program) to communicate he wanted a shower/bath/shave and then ACTUALLY DO IT! Mikey now starts, maintains, and completes tasks like taking out the garbage from the kitchen to the garbage pails to the street for trash pick-up!

Belief REALLY began when I started to see his teachers write notes in his Daily Communication log listing the mastery of skill after skill, task after task. Mikey's speech therapists and teachers were adding communication buttons and vocabulary daily! In school, Mikey has gone from zero tasks able to be completed to 12 tasks able to be completed! These are Vocational Tasks which are allowing him to work for future employment, more independent living, and further education. Mikey's EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING is coming alive. Being a Special Education Teacher for 25 years never prepared me for THIS kind of success. NEVER, EVER, had I thought these things were possible... NOW... watch out world... MIKEY IS HERE! β€” feeling blessed.”

🏈 GAME DAY HEALTH TIPS 🏈

Whether your going to a party or hosting a party, there are so many ways to keep your health on track:

βœ… Remember priorities! Before heading to the party, remember your priorities. Truly prioritize how you envision health & what steps it takes to fulfill your personal goals & self happiness.

βœ… Surround yourself with positive people! Surrounding yourself with positive and like-minded people can help transpire your priorities into healthy outcomes with great ease. Often if you inform those around you of your health goals, they are going to support & encourage you.

βœ… Make a healthy dish to bring to a party. There are many recipes that are perfect for a gathering that can help you stay on track without the feeling of missing out! Do a search in Discovering Health for so many HEALTHY Super Bowl recipes that are available for you!

βœ… Eat prior! Showing up to the party feeling hungry can lead to ravening at the buffet or food table. Before heading to the party, eat a well-balanced meal comprised of a protein source and fiber-packed veggies to limit the risk of overeating.

βœ… Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate!
Did I mention hydrate? πŸ’¦ Drink a glass of water before heading to the event, upon arrival, and if you choose to have an alcoholic beverage or two then drink water between each one to help keep you hydrated. Not only will doing so keep you more energized throughout night, but ease the waking morning hours.

βœ… Say β€œNO” Do not let the party control you! Remember, it is okay to say no to drinks & other temptations surrounding you. Along with the health of your body, the morning after will also thank you.

βœ… Focus on the Party! Rather than being stationary at the buffet or bar, focus on the event itself and what it has to offer. Meet new people, network with others, and simply enjoy the moment of the party!

Stick to these tips & your game day is sure to be a TOUCH DOWN! πŸŽ‰

Mexican Mac and Cheese
Ingredients:
7.5 oz cooked 93% lean ground beef, fat drained (1 1/2 Leans)
1 1/2 tsp low sodium taco seasoning mix (3 Condiments)
5 cups cooked cauliflower, cut into small florets (10 Greens)
1/2 cup chopped green chilies (1 Green)
1/2 cup green or red peppers, diced (1 Green)
2 tbsp jalapenos, chopped (2 Condiments)
For the sauce:
1 cup unsweetened cashew milk (1 Condiment)
3 tbsp reduced fat cream cheese (3 Condiments)
1 tsp dijon mustard (1 Condiment)
1 1/2 tbsp Kraft parmesan cheese, grated (1 1/2 Condiments)
1/4 tsp garlic powder (1/2 Condiment)
1 1/2 cups shredded reduced fat Mexican or sharp cheddar cheese (1 1/2 Leans)
Topping:
1 cup shredded reduced fat Mexican or sharp cheddar cheese (1 Lean)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a 9 inch square casserole dish lightly with cooking spray.
Combine cooked ground beef with taco seasoning mix and 1/4 cup water in a small skillet. Heat over medium high heat. Cook until sauce thickens, about 4 to 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
In a large bowl, combine seasoned ground beef, cauliflower pieces, green chilies, green or red peppers and jalapenos. Set aside.
Pour cashew milk into a medium sized sauce pan over medium-low heat. Add the cream cheese, dijon mustard, parmesan cheese, and garlic powder. Stir until combined and cream cheese is melted. Add 1 1/2 cups cheese.
Continue cooking until cheese is melted and sauce is nice and smooth, about 2 minutes.
Pour the cheese sauce over the cauliflower beef mixture and stir until everything is coated with the cheese sauce. Pour mixture into a prepared dish. Sprinkle 1 cup of cheese over the top. Bake for about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Divide into 4 even portions.
4 Servings with 1 Lean, 3 Greens and 3 Condiments per serving

Celebrating Al's remarkable journey on our program! In the realm of hospice care where I currently work, stories like Al's resonate deeply, reminding me that my role as a health coach transcends boundaries. Al's success, shared passionately on our National client call, moved everyone to tears of joy and gratitude. It's a testament to the power of commitment to change, irrespective of the time it takes or the inevitable ups and downs along the way.

Al's achievement is nothing short of extraordinaryβ€”he has shed an astonishing 301 pounds, a feat he once deemed impossible. Yet, with the transformative impact of our life-changing program, he's now living his wildest dreams. Maintaining resilience throughout his journey, he utilized the support and resources available, bringing him within striking distance of his goal with only 50 pounds left to conquer!

Al imparts invaluable wisdom gained through his experience: "Don't just hold yourself accountable to the outcome; hold yourself accountable to the process. There are peaks and valleys in weight loss. Stay consistent in the process. Eating clean all day is a success! Exercising is a success! Getting stronger is a success! Feeling good from eating well is a success! Weight loss is not the end-all, be-all, but it will come."

As I reflect on Al's inspiring story, I am reminded that, even in my current hospice role, the principles of health coaching remain integral. What’s for dinner…Enchilada Bake!
Makes 3 servings
Per serving:
1 leaner
1 1/3 green (still need 1 2/3)
3 condiments
1 healthy fat
Ingredients:
10 sprays non stick pan spray (I used Pam)
1/2 c finely chopped green spring onion
6 oz shredded cooked chicken breast
1 can (4.5 oz) chopped green chilies
2 t chili powder
1/4 c enchilada sauce (I used green)
1 c diced tomatoes
1/2 c shredded low fat cheddar
1 c shredded low fat pepper Jack cheese
3/4 c low fat greek yogurt
4 1/2 oz sliced avocado
1/2 c fresh cilantro
Heat oven to 350. Spray broiler proof baking dish with 5 sprays cooking spray
Add the remaining Pam sprays to a 12” skillet and heat to medium heat.
Add chicken, green chilies, chili powder, tomatoes, and enchilada sauce: stir to combine. Remove from heat.
Stir in yogurt and cheddar cheese. Transfer mixture to baking dish. Top with pepper Jack cheese. Bake 10 to 15 minutes.
Turn on broiler & broil 2-4 min until cheese is golden & bubbly. Remove from broiler & top with avocado and cilantro.

Spicy Jack Snacks β€‹πŸ˜‹πŸ§€

Ingredients:
1 cup reduced-fat Monterey jack cheese
Β½ cup jalapeno, 16 slices

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ΒΊ. Place a sheet of parchment paper on a metal cookie sheet.
DO NOT use a silicone/silpat sheet, waxed paper or foil (unless it’s the special non-stick foil) to bake these or they will not cook properly.
Using a tablespoon, scoop up 1 T. of cheese and make a small pile on the parchment. Press it slightly flat. Repeat 15 more times. Place a slice of jalapeno on top of each pile. Pop into 350ΒΊ oven for about 10-12 minutes.
Brown them a bit more for a firmer snack to serve at parties. These are somewhat pliable if under browned. Allow them to completely cool and fully firm up before removing from the pan for best results.

How to count using the Optavia program:
1 Serving (16 Jack Snacks) with 1 Lean and 1 Green or
2 Servings (8 Jack Snacks) with 1/2 Lean and 1/2 green
