Hi folks!

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), and your friends here at SASAS have a week full of events around sexual assault awareness planned for campus this coming week ( April 19th-22nd)

On Monday we will be tabling outside of Davies from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Feel free to stop by and pick up some goodies, learn more about our org., SAAM, or ask any questions you may have regarding SAAM or our organization.

Tuesday will be Teal Tuesday. Teal is the nationally recognized color for Sexual Assault Awareness and we invite you to join us in wearing teal to show your support for survivors and victims.

Wednesday evening from 5-8 pm we will be showing a documentary in Woodland theater on the 3rd floor of Davies. The documentary will be showing is The Hunting Ground (link to the trailer is in our bio). At this time the theater is limited to 25 occupants. Due to this, we will also have an option to view the documentary virtually with us on Wednesday evening. Following the documentary we will have a discussion about what we watched and how it relates to us here on campus.

Thursday is the final day of events that we will be hosting. We will close the week off with a walk and vigil to help raise awareness and provide many with the opportunity to speak on the issues here on campus and in the Eau Claire community. The vigil will take place in Owen park from 5 to 8 p.m.

While not all of the details and sign up links are entirely finished we wanted to get the word out to you all so that you can plan to join us for as many events as possible next week.

Please check back later in the week and throughout the weekend for more details as we finalize everything.

We hope you all can join us in raising awareness for sexual assault and partake in as many events as possible to bring awareness to yourself, this campus, and the Eau Claire community.

Don't hesitate to send us an email or DM if you have any questions!
