The Lord has surely blessed me! ! !

I didn’t get to do much blacktail hunting this year and the majority of the time I did go out, it was spent with my kiddos, going on drives, glassing clear cuts… let’s just say it wasn’t really intensive. I had determined going into the season that if I could get my daughter on a deer, I would let her fill my tag, but the opportunity didn’t present itself.

Fast forward to yesterday, the second to the last day of the season, there was no school and the kids were all gone. I worked the first half of the day and then threw on rain gear and and hit the woods. I still hunted my way through some timbered areas in the rain. After a couple hours, this buck materialized right in front of me at about 30 yards. He was walking towards me and stopped in his tracks. I was afraid to move but after a few seconds of staring at each other I shouldered my rifle and sent one! He ran straight down and toppled over in a cut maybe 50 yards away. I watched him pile up and instantly felt a sense of relief. So grateful to fill my tag this season on a beautiful blacktail and for the folks who showed up to help break him down and pack him out! 🙏🏻❤️

When it’s time to vote - DO NOT FORGET.

There is an agenda to normalize this confusing ideology in our society. The question is WHY? Why do they want our children to believe the lie that men can become pregnant? That women can be men? Does this ideology create healthy people? Healthy minds? Healthy bodies? NO. It creates people who are permanently attached to the health care system FOR LIFE with no sense of their true identity.

Parents, protect your kids’ minds. Talk to them about the TRUTH. Remind your kids that they can be loving towards others without accepting and glorifying perverse ideologies, lifestyles and ideas. Real love comes through truth. Truth is love.

It sure feels like people today are conditioned to always want more, be the best, have the most things, compete with each other… I don’t want anything to do with it. This is what I want. Evening drives with my kids, spotting deer, adventure, memories, passing around a pair of binos from kid to kid, hand-me-down camo, muddy rigs… my kids don’t care about how much we have or shooting the biggest animals. They care about finding Chanterells, spotting bucks and spending quality time with their family - including their dad who co-parents wonderfully with me. I CAN’T WAIT for the next few years of shooting d**k first bucks with my kids!!! 🙌🏼

I’m so relieved to be back in our routines, regular schedules and together with our school family.

Bring on 7th and 3rd grade, x2! And of course fall sports 6 days a week! This fall J’s dual sporting with the MS volleyball and U14 soccer, while the twins play rec soccer as well!

Raising these kids is a gift from God that I do not deserve, even in the toughest seasons. Praying daily for strength and guidance as we all grow together this year!
