Can added sugars be useful?
Added sugars can improve make certain foods palatable that are highly nutritious, but taste bland without a little sweetness.
Of course, our bodies don't need added sugars, but foods and drinks high in added sugars can be beneficial for very active people who have been exercising for 90 minutes or more at a time.
Are you drinking sports drinks without the 60-90 minutes activity?
No wonder it is not easy!!

Does sugar free mean all sugar?
FRUCTOSE VS GLUCOSE
Most sugar is typically a combination of glucose and fructose, the body responds to these two forms of sugar quite differently. When you eat a food containing glucose, the pancreas responds by releasing insulin and then transports the glucose to the cells that require energy. Any residual energy from the glucose is then stored in your fat cells.
Sugar as fructose has minimal impact on your blood glucose levels and does not stimulate an insulin response, (no off switch) . When consumed in excess, (which is easy to do) it goes straight to your liver, bypassing the gastrointestinal tract altogether, where it is then converted directly to fat.

1.Limit or cut out candy, baked goods, and dairy desserts.
2.Choose heart-healthy foods (for example, fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains) for meals and snacks.
3.Skip sugary drinks and choose water instead. A 12-ounce can of non-diet (regular) soda can contain 8 or more teaspoons of sugar and more than 130 calories.
