Welcome our new Executive Board for the 2023-2024 school year!

This past year, our mechanical team has been working hard on their projects which will make up our new solar car. They have been designing and analyzing the following parts of the car: brakes, wheels, body, chassis, and ergonomics. Some parts of the car like the brakes have arrived, but we are now ready to manufacture the rest of the elements of the solar car!

We had yet another successful design day this semester! We sponsored 3 capstone projects this year:
- Mechanical: Electric Powertrain Development
- Electrical: Active Cell Balancing Battery Management System
- Electrical: Field Oriented Control for Solar Motor Inverter
The capstone teams did an amazing job on their projects which we plan to implement in future solar cars! We also had the opportunity to speak with President Woodruff about our team!

Congratulations to our graduating seniors! We appreciate all of your hard work over the years on the team! We are proud of all of your accomplishments and wish you all luck for your futures! GO GREEN💚

Thank you so much to everyone who attended our demonstration day this past weekend! We showcased the progress towards our all-new single occupant vehicle, Cynisca. Our team has been working hard over the past year and we are grateful for the support of the university, our sponsors, alumni, and family and friends! We aim to have this car competition ready for ASC 2024!

Our team has been working hard on our new car’s electrical projects. The photos show our Solar Array, Battery Management System, Driver Controls System,
Battery, and Power Distribution project subteams working on testing and assembling their systems! Every picture you see showcases our team members customizing their system to specialize it for our car, Cynisca.

Thank you to everyone who came out to watch us at the Formula Sun Grand Prix. The team put in many long nights and countless hours into the car and reached the dynamics testing stage after achieving track ready status on all other scrutineering - something that had not been accomplished in years. We wanted to thank all the people who came out to support us - parents, advisors, and friends of the team! Your support has helped drive our team's dedication and motivation. We would also like to thank the several teams who assisted us at FSGP: thank you to , , , and . Attending the competition has been a tremendous learning experience for our team and we aim to come back strong in 2024. We are currently working on the design of an all new single-occupant vehicle, Cynisca, stay tuned for more!

𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘉𝘪𝘰:
The Michigan State University Solar Car Racing Team is a student-run team of about 75 members. The team was founded in 2000 and have designed 5 solar cars since 2010. Their current solar car, Aurora is a multi-occupant vehicle designed for practicality and real-life application. The team is working hard to be able to compete in the 2022 Formula Sun Grand Prix and qualify for the American Solar Challenge..

This weekend the team did a mock-scrutineering test of Aurora at the MSU Breslin center. Thank you MSU police for the es**rt around campus!
