The passing of hurricane Beryl has greatly affected the people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Lions Club Kingstown- SVG and by extension Leo Club St.Vincent, stands in solidarity with those who have suffered loss. As efforts are made to rebuild and bring relief to the most vulnerable, we stand steadfast as a club with our mission ‘To Serve’. We will continue with our efforts to provide supplies and support as necessary to those in need.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the devastating passage of Hurricane Beryl.
In particular, we keep in mind our Lions family in Union Island who have all been affected, along with their family, friends, neighbors and fellow countrymen.
The Lions clubs in the region are mobilizing to provide extensive outreach to those affected by hurricane Beryl and in particular the Southern Grenadines, Grenada and surrounding areas and any potential countries in its path.
Hurricane relief donations are essential for providing immediate help to victims of natural disasters like this hurricane. They also support long-term recovery efforts in affected areas.

Lions Club of Kingstown-SVG installs New Board for 2024-2025
Saturday, 15th June, 2024, was also the day when members of the Lions Club of Kingstown-SVG took the opportunity to usher in our new Board of Directors for the Lionistic Year 2024-2025 at our Installation.
The ceremony was officiated by Past Zone Chairperson Lion Maria Burke.

Lions Club KSVG Retreat 2024-2025
On Saturday, 15th June, 2024, members of the Lions Club of Kingstown-SVG gathered together for a Planning Retreat which would shape the progress of the new Lionistic Year 2024-2025.
President Lion Tonnyia Browne who will again be at the helm, took this opportunity to share her plans and expectations for the upcoming year.
Several interactive, fun and productive sessions took place during the day and we look forward to the new year with renewed enthusiasm.

Donation of Books 2024

Members of the Lions Club of Kingstown-SVG visited the Sion Hill School Government School for a morning of interaction with the Kindergarteners of the learning institution.
It was a time of fun and laughter while reading books with the children. Books were afterward presented to the students and class teacher.
A heartfelf thank you is extended to everyone who made this project possible.

The members of the Lions Club of Kingstown-SVG and the many patients of the clinic, extend tremendous thanks to the members of the Mobile medical mission for working tirelessly to ensure that so many individuals were able to benefit from this service.

(ECBI), St. Vincent & the Grenadines Community College, Wilson’s Enterprises Ltd, St. Vincent Corrugated Containers Inc. and to the individuals who in any other way contributed to the success of this mission.
Lions Club KSVG hosts Eye Care Mission
In 1925 Helen Keller addressed a Lions Club International Convention and challenged Lions to be “knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness.” Decades later, Vision has become one of the five core areas of service for the organization, the other four being: Diabetes, Hunger, Environment and Childhood Cancer.
Doing their part, the Lions Club of Kingstown-SVG welcomed a 25-member mission of eye specialists from the USA for their annual Eye Care 4U project, which ran from May 26th-31st, 2024.
The team successfully performed 101 cataract-related procedures and corneal transplants at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH), all at no costs to the patients. This notably included a corneal transplant on both eyes for 11-year-old Shandean Brackin.
Moreover, over 750 persons received free eye care screenings, as well as blood pressure and glucose monitoring at the designated medical facility locate at the Community College Villa campus. Several outreach programmes were also facilitated including one at the St. Benedicts’ Day Nursery and Children’s Home. A home visit was also conducted to a 103 year old lady of Kingstown Park.

Annual Christmas Luncheon for the Visually Impaired 2023
On Saturday 9th December, 2023, the Lions Club of Kingstown-SVG hosted a Christmas Party for the Rose Hall Government School students as part of their annual Good Turn Project.
The children were treated to an afternoon of games, food, fun and presents. The students had a wonderful time. The Lions Club Kingstown-SVG was delighted to bring joy to the children during this festive period and the children left with big smiles on their faces.
Special thanks to the principal of Rose Hall Government School and her staff for ensuring everything flowed smoothly. Refreshments and face painting also ensured the children's happiness.
To the parents and guardians who allowed their children to attend, your input was of the utmost importance and we appreciate you.
The Goodturn project will continue and conclude on the 14th of December with the annual Christmas luncheon for the visually impaired. The project caters to 40 visually impaired individuals, they are treated to lunch and a good time at the Lions' Den located at Frenches Gate.

2nd District Governor’s Advisory Meeting - Zone 3C
The 2nd Zone Meeting for Zone 3C was hosted by the Union Island Lions Club on that island last Saturday 2nd December, 2023.
Zone Chairman Lion Cornelia Moses thanked everyone for attending and for their well-presented reports, and took the time to encourage the clubs to keep up the good work.
Special thanks were extended to the Lions from Union Island, St. Vincent and Grenada who were present in person.
The members of the Lions Club of Kingstown-SVG takes this opportunity to once again thank the members of the Union Island Lions Club for their warm hospitality. We really enjoyed the planned weekend of activities.
