Let’s talk about stress.
We all know that stress can impact our daily lives in a number of ways, but many people don't realize just how much stress can affect their health.
Did you know that stress is linked to the six leading causes of death: heart disease, cancer, lung ailments, accidents, cirrhosis of the liver and even su***de.
That's why it's so important to learn how to manage and reduce stress in your life. One great way to do that is by getting exercise, even just going for a daily walk with your pup or significant other!
👉🏻 Exercise releases endorphins which help reduce stress and anxiety. So if you're looking for a way to improve your health and wellbeing, start by adding some movement into your routine.
Also, it’s important to identify and become aware of your stressors. When you are aware of what triggers your stress levels you can find coping strategies to help you.
✨ One of my favorite coping strategies when I am stressed is diving into a mediation session and even doing some journaling to help me get out of my head.
Here’s the thing, stress isn’t going anywhere so it’s important for us to know how to deal with it and keep ourselves as healthy as possible!

I didn’t get here overnight…
Something I see ALL the time when people are just starting on their health and fitness journey is this desire to try and get results immediately.
The thing is, this NEVER works.
Any “quick fix solution” or “instant weight loss” program you see online might give you some results faster, but they are completely unsustainable and unhealthy. You’ll end up right back where you started OR you’ll end up putting on more weight afterwards.
The key to getting results that actually last?
👏🏻 Slow down and take it one day at a time! 👏🏻
Start by making small changes and gradually adding more healthy habits each week. And be patient – it takes time for your body to adapt to a new routine.
Don’t worry about hitting the gym 5 times a week or eating clean 100% right off the bat!
Try working out 2-3 days a week at first and maybe limit eating out to just one or two times that week.
You'll be amazed at how far you come if you just focus on making small improvements each and every day.

That is the only way to take back your power!

I used to live with a “broke girl” mindset.
A few years ago I was constantly worried about how much money I was (or wasn’t) making and how I was going to afford rent each month.
I would go into the club thinking “ok I need this much to pay my bills so I NEED to get that tonight”...
And then… I would only make a tiny fraction of that for the entire night. 🙃
What I finally started to realize was that my scarcity mindset and my desperation for cash were actually impacting how much I was making!
I put it to the test when I started walking into the club with confidence and setting aside all my worries and fears about how much I would make…
And you know what happened?
I made enough for rent in about two nights. 💸

❗️5 Words to Cancel in 2021❗️
1️⃣ Toned
This word was designed for women as a softer word for hypertrophy. They are one in the same and we need to move away from women being weak! Or seen as weak. We are STRONG independent women who don’t bow down to men. So why use a word designed to keep us small and weak?...
2️⃣ Diet
Too often this word is thrown around as a means to lose weight and adds labels to things we don’t need to label. We are either “off the diet” or “on the diet” Remember this is a lifestyle change, meaning everyday of every week of every year we do the things we need to stay healthy and fit!
3️⃣ good & bad
Same as above, we shall again not be labeling things as “good” or “bad”, “healthy” and “unhealthy” Having this mindset will more often then not send you into a binge cycle and many other cycles. Using flexible eating methods, we can eat whatever we want as long as it fits our macros. Using this approach helps minimize and or eliminate the binge cycles.
4️⃣ No rest days
You’ve probably hurt this “Team No Rest Days!” before. And as much as I’m an advocate for heavy weight lifting, I’m also an advocate for rest. Our bodies need time to recover from the trauma and muscle tearing we put it through. So rest days are just as important as training days. And resting after sets is just as important.
5️⃣ Targeted fat loss
Those people telling you ‘you can target fat loss’ are lying to you to get your money. They don’t care to truly help you. So let me help you save your money. There is no proven way to target fat loss in one spot. The best way is a combo of nutrition, weight lifting and cardio.
