Fencing job completed in Markyate over the Easter weekend! On this job we had to use a few extra concrete gravel boards along with concrete posts to retain the soil as on one of the property’s the land was over 2 foot higher. With soil sat on the panels this would aid to them rotting, so extra gravel boards were used. The customer of the property on the lower side opted for these decrotive rock face gravel boards to make more of a feature of them and to set the beds off. We also installed 3 panels and a gate at the bottom of the garden at one of the properties to access the back alley. We also replaced an old rotten sleeper bed with some fresh new sleepers!

Here’s some photos of a picket fence i put up back in November last year. I used concrete spurs on this job as area is liable to flooding and wanted the wooden posts to last. I mounted the spurs on the backs on the posts to leave the customer with the overall look of wood as this was what we set out to achieve. I also cut a bay of picket fencing down to make a gate to access ground beyond fence.
