So Hum Malas are handmade using only authentic stones, seeds, and wood that in their elements contain meaning and properties (no fake beads - plastic or glass are used). As they are made from natural materials the color and bead size may vary.
Each has a unique, hand stamped, by me, sterling silver branded S wave charm attached.
All So Hum Malas include size alterations if needed - pre-shipping :)
What is a mala? Mala bracelets and necklaces are also referred to as worry beads or prayer beads. And are seen most commonly in the yoga and meditation communities.
Some wear them just because they are drawn to the beauty, to a specific bracelet, to the stones, to the use for calming during prayer, meditation, or even stressful business meetings.
I first started wearing and using mala bracelets more as worry beads. As a long sufferer of anxiety. I found playing and rounding the beads through my fingers to be calming - and a way to let out nervous energy. Plus they were simply beautiful. I love the So Hum mantra and name for the malas because I believe that each of us glow from the inside and at our core simply love.
It is often a challenge to feel like you/I/we are enough in the busy and busier world we live in. We are our harshest critic. Hiding behind walls that take away from allowing our true person to be seen.
Everyday I challenge myself to be vulnerable - to be open - to be brave - to be present. It is so hard!
Just over 7 years ago I found yoga (for real) - and it has and continues to change my life. Malas mean even more to me now as I use them to calm my nerves with mantras - or sit quiet, or use in my beginner stages of meditation.
My hope is that these malas simply serve as a beautiful reminder on your wrist that you are enough.

Caring for your So Hum Mala: to clean wipe with a soft dry cloth when needed. Avoid exposing your mala to chemicals like perfume. It is recommended that you remove your mala before bathing or swimming. Since our malas are made from natural materials - some fading or darkening may occur to beads with wear.
