Introducing our eighth and FINAL panelist for our Thursday countdown: Maximilian Dorndorf🎉
Dr Maximilian Dorndorf started his career at the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Cologne (Germany), where he worked from 2001 to 2005. From 2005 to 2009, he had his own specialist one-man law firm in Münster for IP/IT, and headed the legal department for the international logistics group Fiege.
He joined Luther’s Essen office as a partner in 2009 and is a member of the IP/IT-team and Co-head of Luther’s industry group “Mobility & Logistics”.
Maximilian Dorndorf is a lecturer teaching company law as part of the “RUBlaw-active” course at Ruhr University in Bochum (Germany) and FH Münster.

Maryant is a lawyer and Senior Digital Policy Officer at BEUC - The European Consumer Organisation. She defends consumer interests in the fields of platform regulation, telecommunications, digital trade, privacy and data protection. She is part of the Board of Women At Privacy and the 'Data Protection On The Ground Chair' at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. She previously worked at European Digital Rights, was the EU digital committee Chair of the Transatlantic Consumer Dialogue, a member of the NetCompetition Alliance Steering Group and the European Commission’s Trade Expert Group. She holds an LLM in Law in a European and Global Context.

Heike Leichsenring started her career as a commercial litigator and product liability lawyer at Noerr LLP, before she joined Amazon’s German legal team as the first dedicated litigator in 2013. As part of that role, she handled IP disputes regarding Amazon’s German website and helped building the first notice-and-takedown processes. In 2017, she took on a full-time role in Amazon’s European legal team in Luxembourg to support Amazon’s growing programs on Brand Protection from a pan-European perspective.

Jaymeen Patel is head of the Brussels Office of LVMH's Corporate Affairs team, and joined the Group in September 2016. Previously, Jaymeen has worked for Apple, Telefonica, and for the UK employers' federation the CBI, and started his career in the European Parliament.

Dr. Anselm Rodenhausen is leading the antitrust & distribution law team within the legal department at Zalando. Prior to this, he has been focusing on competition law in the digital sector for the last 10 years: as a lawyer in the Brussels office of Freshfields, he mainly advised telecoms, platforms and tech companies; as a Legal & Policy Officer with the European Commission (DG CONNECT) he helped developing the Commission’s Digital Single Market strategy. Anselm has published on a number of new legal aspects of the digital world and is a regular speaker on international competition law conferences.

Presenting panelist Manon Rieger-Jansen🎉
Manon is a partner in Bird & Bird's Intellectual Property Group with over 20 years' experience. She leads the brand management team in The Netherlands. Manon also is the head of Bird & Bird’s international luxury, fashion and retail team.
As an experienced litigator, Manon specialises in trademark, design, copyright and advertising law, and has a particular focus on cases involving product design. Many of the matters Manon is working on have an international angle and over the years, she has developed a particular experience in pan-European enforcement strategies of trademarks and designs, including customs and parallel import enforcement strategies.

As a seasoned Sustainability & Innovation leader in the Fashion & Luxury industry, Anna’s expertise is in crafting sustainable business strategy, leading strategic initiatives, scaling up innovations and bringing people together to deliver transformational change. Following a background in the Power Generation sector, where she has managed to boost her education through an executive Engineering Doctorate in Innovative materials, Anna has founded the Innovation function at Burberry and continues to advocate as an industry leader at the intersection between sustainability, materials science, technology and fashion at CSF. As a futurist with a dedication to sustainable innovation, she constantly leverage on cross-industry and academia collaborations, and new technologies to make the fashion world more sustainable and responsible.
Anna is a keen proponent of circular economy, waste reduction, responsible sourcing and manufacturing, and supply chain transparency.

Francesca is a sustainability and circular economy specialist, who has worked across strategy consulting, fashion and consumer goods industry, think tanks and NGOs over the last 10 years. She worked globally across Europe, Asia, South America and Africa. She is passionate about system change, the evolving concept of Circular Economy and Regenerative Agriculture which hold the potential for transformational change for an efficient economy, reducing resource waste and relaunching vibrant ecosystems.
She previously worked at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, exploring business model innovation within the fashion sector. Within the systemic initiative Make Fashion Circular, her and her team worked with 40 of the global leading brands, textile products and garment manufacturers to transition the fashion industry to a circular economy. She has also worked at Accenture Strategy across industries, and at The Body Shop, focusing on the sustainable sourcing of agriculture raw materials. She now works as a freelance consultant, supporting businesses with their sustainability and circular economy strategy.

Prior to his current engagements, Mr. Gadnis was the founder and CEO of multiple technology startups, the last one of which was acquired by a $1.5 billion global consulting firm in 2012.
Over the past 25 years Ashish has been recognized for his private / public sector contributions with awards such as – MIT Innovate for Refugees (Syrian refugees) award, Young Global Leader (World Economic Forum), Minority Business Leader (Twin Cities Business), 40 under 40 (Business Journal), Change-Makers Innovator Award (Coding Schools in Refugee Camps in East Africa) and Battery Ventures Innovation Award – Democratic Republic of Congo (for Asili: a mobile / cloud-based business focused on reducing infant child mortality, improving maternal health and increasing livelihood in conflict zones).
Ashish has a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from Bombay University, MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Carlson School and Executive Education in Global Leadership and Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School.
