The Alliance of Independents [AOI] is a body of citizens who have coalesced around the idea of generating movement that can create a balance of power for those persons who may be categorized as unrepresented, under-represented, swing voters, ‘None Of The Above supporters’, marginal voters, all under the umbrella of the ‘third force’. Traditionally, this third force or mar
ginal voter, held the balance of power without developing a solid mandate as to the influence, potential impact and strength of this balance of power, as such, there are many examples to indicate the outcome for third force entities that did not understand the power of leveraging their mass. The primary objective of the AOI is to convene discussions with persons of similar thought, whose sole desire is to ensure that the views, policies, programmes, and ideals of the ‘third force’ or marginal voters are represented not only within the halls of Government but also within the paradigms of Governance. We are a political movement, driven by the need for equity, fairness, transparency, accountability, measurement and management of performance in any Government. We are currently focused on constructive communication with a view to developing a clear way forward for both our movement and those whom we are honored to represent. It’s less about what can my country do for me, and more about what can I do for my country.
