I begin abstractly, letting the colors flow as they will, trying for a beautiful wash of color. As I paint, I bring the painting up a little more realistically, but usually stopping just short of that to leave the viewer with a little bit of mystery. My colors and paintings are usually light, airy, impressionistic, and just a bit unreal."
