Kōkiri Ngātahi
Kōkiri Ngātahi is the Māori Student Club on the Wellington Massey University Campus.
Mission Statement: Kia Kōkiri Ngātahi nga ākonga Māori
The aim of Kōkiri Ngātahi is to provide support and community for Māori students of the Wellington Massey University Campus. Our name, which, means ‘Advance Together’, recognises the importance of Manaakitanga and whakawhanaungatana for our success. It describes the way in which Māori students, in one strong unit, must persevere and strive forward to achieve our goals.
Kupu akiaki o te rā:
“Tūwhitia te hopo” - Eliminate the negative!
Kupu akiaki o te rā:
“Karia te kauae!” - Smash it!
Kupu akiaki o te rā:
“Anga Whakamua” - Face forward, look to the future!
Kia ora, and nau mai ki Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori!
As most if study will be online for the rest of the year, we’ll be posting something new every day this week for you to learn from home - as well as some kupu akiaki (words of encouragement) for you on your own reo journey.
